Mitsubishi gave up on us about 3 years ago from what I noticed.

1/2g eclipse parts I've heard are not so easy to come by either.

Yeah they're next to join the NLA group along with the 3/S guys. Face it owning any Mitsubishi is going to get really tough soon.

2G's aren't too bad yet (as an owner of one), but 1G's are really tough. I picked up a VR4 from StarquestJoe this past fall and I don't know if I'm even going to be able to restore it.  I can't find anything.  I need a front bumper support and I can't even find a regular 90's Galant.  They were all crushed in the Cash for Clunkers program.

It's going to be very interesting to see what happens with the vintage Japanese sport car industry in the next 5-10 years ... b/c there's just not the support there for ANY of them.  You can literally have a catalog sent to your house to restore a Chevelle or a Mustang ... it's just not that way for 80/90s Japanese cars.  I'm not convinced it ever will be either.  Congress is pushing for all this green initiative stuff and I read an article not long ago from the Wall Street Journal that said there are no major investors at this point in time investing funds in combustion engine research and design.  All the money is going into electric cars ... which is coming from the success of Elon Musk and the like.

This is all deeper conversation for another thread, but, like the rest of you guys, I have some pretty legit concerns about the future.

Granted.  Maybe down to body only on a custom frame. I've not stayed up on what's NLA the last couple years.

The parts locator manuals have helped a lot. I've found a lot of parts like drain lug washers and other trinkets are still available because Mitsu used them well into the 2000's on other models.

Anyways, from watching the videos, doing an electric motor conversion looks super complicated??  How about using all the parts from a tesla?

Maybe a wrecked Tesla from auction?   Use the guts to build a "Quest-La" :lol:

There is a guy on Youtube that builds Teslas out of wrecked cars.  He's doing so good, that I believe Tesla is suing him.  :blink:
