  1. I think I do need that as well. I am sending a PM now looks like I found all the parts!
  2. I am restoring a Conquest TSi I found and need parts. I know the list will continue to grow but for now its the following: Front Bumper Passenger Headlight Passenger Fender (Wide Body) Bumper Core Support Possibly the Front/upper Radiator support More to come as I work through the damage. Thanks! I am in Tucson, Arizona.
  3. How about the hood, front bumper, bumper support, passenger fender, passenger headlight assembly?
  4. Hello Everybody! /end Dr. Nick (For those not familiar with this reference see this link) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGYpsNpg1bw While I will admit to being a fan of the Starion and Conquest for some time it wasn't until recently I really started paying attention to them, well one in particular. I have done a good amount of reading and using everyone's favorite search engine but I still have a lot more to research. I have owned a lot of cars as I am sure many here have, BMW M3's, Miata's, Corvettes, Camaro's, Firebirds, RX7's (1FB with a Turbo V8 Swap, 2 FC's Stock and 1 FD Modified), MR2's I really enjoy playing with pretty much anything and everything. My FD RX7 was one of those vehicles I thought I would never let go but as time goes on things change. Anyway back to the Conquest. I saw this car for the first time while getting exhaust work done on my recently traded in 05 Mustang GT (Daily Driver until I replaced it last weekend with a Scion FR-S). It was being worked on and had been in the shop for a few months at that point having issues. I spoke with the mechanic about it and asked him to give my number to the owner as it seemed like they were just not able to figure out what was wrong with the car. Now the car was not 100% perfect but it was well cared for, very clean inside and looked to be almost completely original. Fast forward about a 40 days and I found myself thinking about that Conquest again wondering what was going on with it. To my surprise less than an hour later I got a phone call from the shop saying the owner was interested in selling it to me. I spoke with him and he told me he was looking at restoring the paint and some of the work needed but that he was considering just letting it go now. Of course I was excited but what I didn't know was why the owner had come to this decision and the mention of paint work didn't grab my attention at that point. It soon would... The owner insisted I go take a look at it and I wanted to anyway so the next morning I stopped down to see what I thought was a very clean car in need of some troubleshooting... boy was I wrong! Seems they got the car running right, really well actually... so well that the tech decided to take it out in the back parking lot and floor it... running it into a pole. I was crushed... the car may not have been perfect but it was well taken care of, this gentleman had owned it since 1992 or so and had every service record for it. To see it like this made me sick. When I asked the shop why they were not fixing it they told me it was not their fault the car has a boost controller on it that they didn't know about....... I just couldn't believe it, the front will need to be put on a machine to pull the bumper support back into position but the frame beyond that looked solid... needless to say though it would need work. I talked to the owner and let him know I was very sorry to see that and that while I want the car I did not feel right buying it until he talked to a lawyer as I felt the shop was responsible for the damage. He thanked me and I assured him that fixed or not I want the car and would buy it either way, but this shop should be responsible for the damage done. He called me back about a week later and let me know that he had talked to a lawyer and decided it would be to much effort and time at his age to fight it. He could do so but he would rather settle with them and sell me the car as it sat. I agreed and have setup to have the car brought home today. I will post pictures after I get done going over it but honestly it makes me sick to see it like this. Also having just bought a brand new vehicle working on it will have to wait a little while until probably after the holiday's with the exception of getting the front support fixed and buying the pieces it needs. Which lead me to search forums and find this place, hopefully I can get some help bringing this Conquest Tsi back to its former glory. I do plan on doing an engine swap with it before I paint it but I have not decided what the best route will be, a 4g63 or an LSx as I am already so familiar with them as well as tuning them. But I do plan to make a very nice weekend toy out of it to join my current Vette that takes that roll as well as taking it to the annual car show for cancer we do every year here in Tucson. So I look forward to continuing my research here on this site as well as hopefully my parts hunt for a front bumper, support, fender and hood as well as lights and other pieces. Hopefully I can also find a good home for the running stock motor and other items. I look forward to poking around and hopefully getting to know a few of you. Thanks!
