I had a problem with my studs backing out. Not the nut.
I had to use some high temp thread locker. Good to 2100 degree.

Tightened the turbo nut and removed the tbi intake. The nut was extremely difficult to get tight. Test fitted the MPI intake and the top half hits against the abs unit. I need to get the temp sensors screwed into the new intake. Hoping to have it all mostly done by next weekend except for the fuel lines and wiring.

Posted Image

Intake is off! Anyone wanting to buy it or it's injectors, let me know.
Posted Image

Test fit the lower intake. It's snug but fits. Have to grind off a small part of the water outlet so the dizzy will fit.
Posted Image

But unfortunately the upper intake housing hits the ABS brakes. Time for it to go.
Posted Image

And gone! Now to just re-route that one brake line and bleed it.

Is that a boost gauge fitting on your brake booster line?

Yes, which I am most certainly moving! It shouldn't be there at all.

It's gotta be a right hand drive so brake booster is where the Abs unit would be on ours here in the States

Exactly. This is in Australia with the JDM version from Japan because we didn't get Widebodies over here.

Yeah I figured, just looks so strange. Not often I look under a Starion hood and see something surprising lol. Now I'm noticing all the little stuff like the wiper motor and VIN plate.

Need injector wiring help.

I have a Haltech ECU. Do I wire up Injector 1,2,3,4 to be wired up in the same order as the firing order?

Thanks.

Used the pipe bender to re-route the brake line. It's not the neatest but it was extremely annoying to use.
Posted Image

Spent some time last night wiring up an injector wiring hardness for the intake. Now to wire up some plugs onto the actual car loom.
Posted Image

Look what turned up today :) My new set of D2 coilovers. Can't wait to swap these in. But I'm holding off until the car is running again.

I've also hooked up the FPR and new fuel line in, but no photos of that yet.

Decided to bolt up the lower half of the manifold and ran into some issues. I need to fix this water hose that is hitting the fuel rail. Thanks to Anthony for offering a suggestion on how to fix it.

I also sat the top half on to see how it looks.

Car went in to get the Intercooler mounted and piping made up. Until then, just a photo from a few months ago to keep the thread going :)

Thanks.

The injectors do not need to be wired up for a firing order. But they need to go to the correct injector. With the ECU Manager haltech software you set the firing order there.

I have a tune from my friends Conquest that ran on a Haltech Sprint series. If you are using a Sprint series ecu it should give you a decent starting point. If you are using the Elite series I dont know if it would convert over however you could manually input the ignition timing map and injector scale to be able to fire it up.

Also make sure they are High impedance injectors. I know the Sprint series requires it unless you wire in a resistor box. Not sure about the Elite series in terms of requirements.

Here are some work in progress images. Unfortunately the intercooler I bought was too big to fit between the Chassis rails by 7cm. So damn close. So I had to buy another smaller one and wait for it to arrive. But now it's here it's getting the fabrication work done.
