You mean like this?  I used the same tutorial. Don't forget to get the car power switch to prevent damage to the pi when shutting off the car

Awesome dude, if you have any linux specific questions feel free to ask. I don't have any Pi specific knowledge though. I do want to pick one up and learn about it though.

My comment was mostly directed towards importwarrior but I'd gladly help anyone. If your knowledgeable about Linux then awesome :)

As for the gas level gauge you can easily use the stock sensor too, just find out its ohm range and use that to tell your dash what is full vs empty.

Info provided by:
jmactenn

Fuel level sender ohms:
empty to full

115-117 ohms, 0 ohms.

Every sender will have similar ohm reading they wont be 100% the same as stated above.
Always good to test it out to be sure. a good starting point though..

Thanks for the help!

I will be needing some help once I get the last few items.

If only tunerstudio would run on an android system, I'd already have my old nexus 7 re-purposed and mounted!
MSDroid is great, but it isn't TunerStudio

Honestly, porting the Linux version over to Android wouldn't be hard. It's the interface that would be difficult. Chances are thats why it isn't on Android.

That being said, shadow dash running on an Android tablet is a very clean solution. You just can't tune on it.

You can't tune in the Linux version either. You can switch tunes but that's about all.

In the Linux version of tuner studio? If that's what you mean then I'm happy to say you can tune in it. That's what I'm using as I type this.
