FI-PRO Help

Recommended Posts

The car ran the other day now it wont. I have power to the FC and to the fuel pump wire. The pump wont run if I jump it at the test port it will run but no start. I have power at the injector wires. The red light at the FC will not flash. Is there some place this picks up a signal to turn the pump on. How do the injectors fire does it come from the IAM-1A. I am kinda lost on why it wont start now. Hope I explained it good enough.

I did solder the wires under the hood I did not solder the ones in the car, I had used the supplied connector's found out don't use them so I was going to solder them to. In the processes I had pulled the wiring harness apart by the fan motor and I had no power then I realized that it came apart plugged it back in now I have power, But no start and the fuel pump wont run. Has to be something stupid but I can't find it.

I had a similar problem. It should be flashing constantly during cranking. the problem I had was that it would only flash randomly, one here two there. but none the less...same problem your having.

first make sure your systems up to top, check batterry, all ground cables/wires, power cables/wires etc, are good and clean. definitely solder all of your harness. if thats not it

try reversing the two wires going from the distributor to the ignition module, and make sure you tap into the distributor harness close to it, before the connector, not on the other side of it. I did the same and problem solved constant flashes at the ecu and startup while cranking.

I had a few wiring related issues. I also had a weak o2 signal, I also used a good quality shielded wire for the o2. o2 signal never acts up now. just make sure all your connections are where they are supposed to go on the sensors they are supposed to go to, and soldered and you should be good.
