Ive been lurking and learning tons of great things from this site. So I thank all of you for your contributions and efforts to keep these Starquests alive!

I recently became the owner of a completely original 1987 TSi with 50k original miles. It was not running when I got it under the false pretense that "all it needs is a fuel pump". While it did indeed need a new fuel pump it also needed a new fuel tank, new knock box, a rewire and countless hours troubleshooting. The previous owner absolutely butchered the electrical system and left many loose ends to figure out and clean up. I (along with a great friend who owns an 87 ESiR) got it all figured out and is now running great. I am a friend to all things mechanical and this (new to me) world of 80s turbo/electrical wizardry has been a rewarding learning opportunity.

I wanted to introduce myself and hopefully become another source of information and help for others in this group of great guys.

I have been obsessed with these cars since I was about 15 years old but in my area they are SUPER rare (I have a funny story about a Starion I almost bought years ago) and this is honestly the first one I have found worth buying. Since acquiring this 'Quest a couple months ago the addiction has definitely grown. I guess I am screwed until A&E developes "Intervention : Starquest"

I have quickly learned this is the absolute truth! I thought sourcing/buying parts for my 79 Rx-7 was a pain in the tail.... This car makes that journey a walk in the park!  Although... engine/trans parts for my SA are much easier to source these days...   Posted Image
