They are worth exactly what someone will pay. I was offered $2k for my complete set. They're extremely hard to find in good condition. Especially the sides. If some of y'all found them in a garbage can for free, that's great! Awesome score, but that doesn't make the rest of them have the same worth. I got an 83 hood for $300 years ago, but the other 83 hoods are still worth more than that.

What I offered to pay was an unreasonable sum for this seller.

And all of these recent comments are “opinions”. You are all encouraged to look up the definition of “opinion”, and compare it to the definition of “fact”.

We can spot the louver owners...They don't like the negative comments toward a ridiculous price... :)

I couldnít care less about this sellers price. Iím not a buyer or a seller, so it doesnít influence me in any way. I just get tired of everyone else beating up on people about their prices and continuing to insist that the market for these cars and their parts be comparable to scrap value. If you arenít a buyer, why post the negative crap all the time. Just move on.

If you guys donít want your cars and parts to ever have any real value, then by means, carry on. You all are doing a great job of making sure that none of us can ever make any real significant improvements concerning the values.

No one here got into the SQ scene as an investment....

If the prices rise, it means we have to pay more for what we want....

Not everyone is sitting on a stash of rare parts...Most people just enjoy these cars and wouldn't want to go broke trying to make one a nice driver....

No one said the word investment. But prices tend to go up as supply goes down. It is an economical fact....

You don’t want louvers anyway, you’ve made that clear, so why do you care if the price goes up?

You don’t need rare parts to make a nice driver. But the price of those rare parts usually reflect their limited supply, not just in. The SQ world. Some people get it and are ok with that, some people get jealous that they don’t have them and can’t afford them, so they complain about the costs and then constantly try to call out other people for trying to sell THEIR rare parts for what THEY think THEIR parts are worth, even though they have no intention of buying them.

I actually want them, but I didn't have a good enough offer.

I don't value them at much more than I offered.  Maybe someone else does.

I would however pay upwards of 3g for those chunky jdm ones I've seen only in grainy photos
