attack vector
Hey guys, Just wrapping up a auto to 5-speed swap. The 5pseed trans didn't come with a speedo sensor or cable so I was just going to use the one from my auto trans. If I use the sensor and cable from the auto will my speed be calibrated properly? Or do I need to use a 5-speed sensor and cable. Thanks!
SFBMX88
The speedo cable fits both transmission sensors. I dont know if the sensors are interchangable between transmissions though. IF BOTH sensors are the same, then you should still maintain the correct speedometer reading. Sensors are connected to the transmission output shafts, and both the auto/manual cars have the same final drive ratio.
attack vector
Thanks for the info! I'll look in to the sensor and see if they are interchangeable. But being able to use the same cable helps.
