(im too lazy to go there and find out myself) thanx -Broken
ultraflexxj
no you wont the resistor is only for certain applications that require a lower voltage to prevent damage to the module or points

BrokenquestTSI
hey whats the difference between blaster 2 & 3? more power i guess?
MikeMeyerhoff
Blaster 2 and 3 are the exact same thing with different terminals. Choice between them depends on what gender coil wire you have.
BrokenquestTSI
what do you mean gender terminal wires? how do i tell if the one i bought isnt gonna work? probley a stupid question.
MikeMeyerhoff
Take your coil wire and try to connect it. If they are both the same gender (male) you've got a problem.
button
blaster 3 is a Male/HEI terminal..blaster 2 is a Female/Socket terminal.. know what male and female means? pin vs. hole... simple enough.stock quest is female/socket.you could get a new coil wire that is hei on one end and socket on the other. but i couldnt tell yah what takes one off hand. BrokenquestTSI
lol that was funny. I installed it today. Yeah it was a female. So i just spliced the wire and fitted it with what MSD gave me, then i clamped, plugged it in, and the car runs great. even better. stars up without cranking but once or twice. the power steering is alittle easier, and the quest is alot more powerfull. thanks alot for all the help. 8)
