  1. thanks, Well at least I know now I'm not nuts, for now she's as stock as an 83 can be. Thinking about messing with the vac lines though, and I'll half to mod the air box. When I got her the fuel had been sugared I though I did a good job flushing it out but now am starting to think I'll have to replace the f. filter as well.
  2. Thanks i'll give it a try, but what do you mean by isc/tps(not to sound dunb) - I've only had the car for around 8months, and have found shes been abused for most her life....
  3. thank u everyone I just read this entire list and think it's all awsome! My question is, I'm haveing an issue with my throttle, to push it above 5g seems to choke the engine out,it also fluxes idle between 1g and a half in a constant rythem, Do You Think the old stock vac lines could be my problem? Also the small canister next to the air box seems to have been spiting oil alover my air filter, what problems will this cause? I'm just hitting my head trying to figure this engine out :-/
  4. I run an interior shop and I can tell you, your not going to find a leather hidefor less than 300.00-500.00, and thats about enough to do the buckets in, but there's labor on top of that , so I agree with that a shop charging less than 5-600.00 or more is lose'n money. Or There useing a vinyl-leather imitation, alot of stock leather seats are just that ,fake. http://photos.bravenet.com/365/468/959/7/8D649689BE.jpg
  5. I'm happy to say that with the help of many through this forum i'm well on my way to having my 83 look, feel, and run respectfuly again. It's been a long road, and theres still much to do like interior, ect. but I'm looking forward to the drive back! she started as a 400.00 dream thats cost about 400.00 more to fix-up, but even when it p!ssed me off, I love these cars. http://photos.bravenet.com/365/468/959/7/345881976E.jpg bondo and primer saved my fenders when the hinge on my driver door broke and the owner before me thought it bright to force the door open anyways crushing a groove in the fender wall. this is how she's sitting now but I'm only a little away from paint. I'm just now fix'n some minor dents to the hood, And Thanks to Richie Rich, I have a new front grill peace to go between the lights! http://photos.bravenet.com/365/468/959/7/6EB57AEC96.jpg I still need a lower air dam,but I'm kinda digging-it w/out, will see........
