  1. Any news on the progress of this? Sounds & looks pretty cool!
  2. What does a complete, running, stock motor cost roughly?
  3. I went and looked at this car this weekend & figured I'd share the find with everyone. Story is... A family friend purchased new, her brother bought it, was passed to her... Drove to work in mid 90's and on the way it over heated. Pulled over let cool down, continued to work. Drove to shop after work and they said it was either a cracked head or bad motor and wanted a bunch of money to tear into the motor to accurately diagnose. She decided to drive home and put in the barn... So it drove when it was put into barn... Personally I don't have the space or time to get running but I know someone does.. Rusted a little on underside, mostly frame rails and one half dollar rust hole under passenger door, but rear quarters looks good. It had flat tires so it wasn't easy seeing under it while in the barn... Interior was like a time capsule. No major rips or tears, door panels were clean, 79,150 on odometer. http://picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/17340464
  4. What's the chance you also have a fox body for sale, would be sweet to get a packaged deal from you!
  5. I'm working on my buddy to buy it, he has the cash but he's a sucker for fox bodies... I figure this is the best chance to get him into the starquest community and part with the cash he has burning a hole in his pocket! lol Otherwise I'm going to try and pull some funds together; only 2 & 1/2hrs away!
  6. My 89 was junked but I kept a few rubber made tubs of misc parts. I'm integrating some into my 87 but just let me know what your looking for.
  7. My rear seats are ripped beyond repair, but looking at them, I'm unsure where to start. Am I over looking something? Do they fold down? What's the best way to remove them? Thanks
  8. I considered swapping the drive train but there is some body damage on the 89. The driver door was bent forward and crushed part of the door and fender and the door doesn't shut 100% correctly and the passenger side fender has a quarter size rust hole. Both cars are from Florida and that's the only rust on either body. I also have less into the 89. I may still consider that we will see. Thanks for all the feed back.
  9. I have a 1987 starion 5spd I've been driving and modding while my 1989 conquest auto sits in storage. Was considering selling or parting out. Just curious other than the SHP wheels & ecu, are there any other 89 specific parts that I would benefit in keeping or swapping onto my 87?
  10. I have no real use for a/c, and saving money for better upgrades but still looking to spend time tinkering with the quest.. Thanks for all the advice..
  11. I've read about a/c, currently 50% done. Considering ABS. I've noticed the secondary air and was told that can go. What I'm wondering is what exactly the black can by ps reservoir is and if can be taken out. Also there's the same sort of black can mounted to air filter canister, which has a hose connected to bottom, one to filter canister and also valve cover, can I remove that and what exactly is it? With all the hoses and random canisters on this car some have to be able to be removed. If not, are there other things I can do? Thanks

  13. I am looking for things to due while I am saving money.. Conquest is running and weekend driver / project. I am currently Deleting A/C and contemplating ABS. I am wondering what other non costly upgrades I could do? Also on the market for new shocks/struts any suggestions? Another thing, I have noticed in some engine pics the absence of that the ugly black box that sits on top of the valve cover & intake manifold and has vacuum lines going to turbo and from somewhere.. what is that & what needs to be done to remove it as I've not seen it on may other peoples engine pics. Thanks!
