  1. Would check the prices for Eagle forged rods against the cost of fully preping stock rods.
  2. I'm guessing he wants to know if the pan is machined to direct all of the oil to the drain hole .
  3. I have a flatty and the factory electric gauge is slow even with a new sender so I removed the sender screwed in a T piece and hooked up a mechanical gauge to one side and the sender to the other and rely solely on the mechanical gauge which is in a pod on the A pillar.
  4. Best wishes to both of you and the little one that will be when he is ready to take a look at the wide world and bond with mom & dad >
  5. The bearing in the flywheel is called a spigot bearing and it supports the front of the gearbox imput shaft.
  6. I run a KRANK VENT and no smoke with 18 psi. When I try to remove the oil fill cap you can feel the suction/vacuun resisting you trying to lift the cap. http://www.et-performance.com/automotive.html
  7. NO it was the rear lower control arm outer bushes. The subframe bushes are available in a nice Kermit green polly advertised on this site http://forums.austar...pic.php?t=15334
  8. ^^^ x 2 the electronic gauge is slow to respond .If the mechanical gauge checks out ok and the motor has been serviced correctly with quality oils & filters then it will almost certainly need a new sender. Remember pressure is the oils resistance to flow and IMHO as a general rule 10/40 is fine as the lower number is to make/help the oil flow thru the motor easier/faster when cold start .The lower number has no bearing on how the high number performs at operating temps To put it in simple terms a 10/40 pours/behaves like a straight 10 grade oil when cold and like a straight 40 weight when hot .
  9. Happy birthday from an old fart from Down Under Australia. When I see all the birthdays you are all so young and was wondering who has the /highest numbers?? fwiw mine add up to 11
  10. Thanks Zac had a good look at the Jas IM when he posted on Austarion and thought the runners were a bit short and am thinking how to lengthen the runners to help get a wider torque band . Magnus seem to be able to demonstrate even runner flows.
  11. Used them ages ago no problems. Do you realize that the multi earth super 4's or any brand of multi ground plug can only spark to 1 earth not to all 2/4 at the same time ? FWIW I use NGK Iridiums.
  12. Am hoping to buy a used big port one and would appreciate any info/leads in tracking one down.
  13. Can anyone with first hand knowledge confirm that Nissan R180 LSD clutch packs are the same as our lsd's or failing that point me in the right direction please??
