  1. hey guys. im having alot of trouble getting my suspension/shock absorber out, i have taken out both the bolts that are attached to the suspension as well as the long bolt that is thru the clamp type of thingy. i have left the top 3 bolts in which are located inside the boot, as i was told to. but i just cant seem to make it budge at all. should i undo the top 3 bolts? i got told to stick like a screw driver or something in and try and leaver it out. is there a post somewhere with step by step pictures? im on a super slow computer 28.8kbs... -__- so very hard to search. any tips would be great plz/
  2. Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone knows where the boot sensor is? my boot light indicator on the dash stays on when i shut the boot. but will go away after driving for a bit, as the vibrations when driving either make the sensor go off, or the boot slots properly into place. but i need to figure this out and get it fixed before i get my alarm installed. but no one in NZ, knows anything about starions. haha. any help would be great!
  3. hate! need a new engine /cry but deep down i still love my staz.
  4. ah yeah im pretty sure. Mates and i checked if it was drawing/blowing air out of it and to the best of my knowledge there was air coming out. my car is the flatbody 2L 4g63 model, do i need a certain type of bov or should all types work? was reading today that some bovs vent it out and some vent out and also vent back in.
  5. ok. bought a SsQ-BOV, place it on the turbo to intercooler pipe. and connected it up to the bottom of the throttlebody as i was told to do. but does not work... so i changed the connection and put a T brace in where i have my boost gauge hooked up to, the bov works, but no sequential sound and the car struggles to run! it blows out black smoke patches at times but once i get into higher revs it stops untill i have to change gears again etc. sorry i would put pictures in but do not know how to upload as of yet. im going to get the shop to look at it when they give my car a tune. to the best of my knowledge i have no vacume blocks or leaks, but will have to do a more fine toothed check to be 100% Any ideas as to what it might be? i was thinking the wrong type of bov, but as i said it works in certain spots of the throttle body. and got it to have a ssq sound some how but it was really quiet sorry if some of the terminologys are incorrect, im new to the car thing. sorry for the bad grama as well. Regards, Tim < Pwned >
  6. we cant tighten it because its a sequential and doesnt have a valve to tighten and the vacume air line is below the throttle body already. we have tried so many types of combos, doesnt help that my car is running very rich tho
  7. ok!!! hey guys! so heres the deal... got an 1983 flat body staz. so the 2l 4g63 engine. intercooled version. i just got a bov attached yesterday, its on the pipe that runs off the turbo to the intercooler and the bov is sitting right above the air/pod filter. but when i place the tube that comes off the bov onto the boost line ( the pipe which your boost gauge comes off) it sound works.. but my car will die if revs are low and struggles to gain speed aswell as black smoke coming out from the exhaust. so i changed the postion and put it off the ECI, on one of the right sections that sticks out. the pov makes the seqential sound but its very very very quiet and sometimes doesnt even make the sound. ive been told to check my vacume air lines or something like that. any tips or if this bov isnt compatible with my ECI version do i need to upgrade to MPI? please any info would be fanf*&^ntastic
  8. yeah those top ten things are wicked!! thanks alot mate! going to do all of those see if my run runs better. i think my car is running too rich tho. it pops alot when i take my foot off accelrater and im in high revs, im not sure if thats coz its not MPI its still carb fed.
  9. lol that site is like reading chinese to me, not really car smart yet. or smart in general lol! =|
  10. both, atm they are old, and want new ones but not sure if i wanna buy cheap ones or good ones. i am planning on doing turbo upgrades and slight engine upgrades so id probably be better of getting the expensive branded ones. but not sure it its totaly worth it. car is running a little bit sluggish atm but i think thats due to my alternater being pretty much craped out coz stupid mechanics not fixing it properly causing it to s*** out again.
  11. i searched the site but didnt find exactly what i was looking for. can a good spark plug really make much difference in your cars performance/running quality?
  12. yeah thats what i was thinking too, intercooler better for your car no doubt too. im getting a new turbo and stuff soon, but we havnt raced ours yet, but im sure it would be a bit more of a difference. just gotta do cambelt service and pay my fines before i can do my turbo, piping and engine =/
  13. no idea mate, im in new zealand. we got lots of cheap turbo shops and online sites for that type of thing. lucky uss... but no wide body starions or hardly ne starion parts =/ well theres only like 6 widebodys here that ppl imported privately.
  14. lol wow expensive for me but nah they are the same, not sure if they are in km/mph tho, prob mph if its not canada
  15. yeah, i cant find any premade ones for the starion. can only find ones for evo and gto/gt3000 whats 101 propose?
