LED fog/turn signal lights

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I've been doing some light mods for my car. HID projector dual beam and now some LED fogs with turn signals built in.

I've fabricated a housing and will come with mounting brackets. I'm looking for at least 10 people that are interested.

Price is $138 shipped to lower 48 and PR. If I get at least 10 people I'll start collecting money then. I have the parts I need on the way. So lets get some people on board.

Update 05/14/12:

For those of you on the list You can start sending your deposit of $10 to secure your spot. Also please include your SCREEN NAME with deposit. Once deposit is received I'll update the list with who's left a deposit. I'm only running 11 of these. 1 for me and 10 for the members. I'll be able to start shipping on or before the 25th of this month. Once they are ready to ship I'll notify the members with deposits both on the forum thread and PM to send final payment., I'll ship the kits to the members first by the date of their final payment received.

will the aftermarket fog covers be able to cover them so that we can have a more stock look?

I'm Sure you could make it work. You will be removing the entire old stock assembly. So if those covers bold up to that. Then you will need to modify them to work. I'll be working on the mounting bracket tomorrow. I'll be making this as close to a stock look as possible. But If you're worried about keeping your stock fogs in there then this is probably not the product for you.

Got the mounts worked up. Here's the final product. I have a buddy that is going to let me use his water jet to cut to the pieces I need. So will have nice clean cut parts to work with.

Let me know if you guys like this mount or not. I could just do a generic bracket but I thought this looked "cleaner" without having to dremmel out the other mounts for the old fog lights to get a clean look.

I'm just giving feedback as I'm intersted in the product... I don't like the mount. It doesn't look like it belongs there at all. Maybe if the light was centered or the mount was flush with the bumper. I'm not sure what it needs but it needs something. Please only take this as my opinion and not negative. Good work though.

I like how it looks. I'd bet it'd go good with motocam's tinted lens cover since it's really bright. I'm game, let me know! Some times I forget thangs, so pm when you're ready.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Perhaps the pictures don't do it justice. Cause I thought it looked sexy in person. Anyhow Here's a couple reasons I did it this way:

I thought I'd use the existing mounting holes in there. I did mock it up with the fog box in the center, but the fog box won't fit in between the mounting holes without cutting them out, And it won't fit in there flush because the back of that hole is not vertical. It's probably at a 10-13 deg slant. So when I did the mount I had to recess and slant the box (shown is the second photo) so the foglights wouldn't be pointing up in the air when they are on.

I could do a simple bracket on the top of the fogbox to affix to the top of the hole like this. But You'd have to dremmel out all of that old mounting points in the bumper fog hole.

This is why I opted to make the bracket to double as a back cover as well to hide those old mounting points
