Specs-

Intel i7 @2.7Ghz

6 GB ram (cant remember speed)

Nvidia Quadro 1000M

Windows 7 64Bit

Now the prob is that i can not use CATIA or Photoshop... i BADLY need to get these programs running i need to do some work haha. bassicly what happens is pictured below

If that does not makes sense, basically what happening is the program opens and runs just fine but the inside window that you do the actual designing in is just a grey box in both photoshop and catia... does anyone have any ideas? i have baffled the lenovo tech support and catia tech support. I am running the latest nvidia drivers.

I just found a fix for the photoshop issue. there is a setting called enable open gl drawing turning that off fixed it... maybe this has something to do with the catia issue?

Not sure what CATIA is but I would advice that you download the latest nVidia drivers from nVidia's website, dont use what Windows Updates offers, they tend to be bare. Especially if that laptop has a workstation video card.

Also, is the software legit? Is that CS4? I have a "cracked" version of it, it's not really a crack, just a simple registry entry that makes it work, sometimes though, it craps out (key probably gets blacklisted) so it needs to be reinstalled. If that is the case, find a version that doesn't need a crack and maybe reinstall it eitherway. And update it too, try that first.

Also, make sure you have things like .NET installed, some software requires it.

yea the driver is the latest driver off nvidia's website.

Photoshop is a crack that i had working a million times but i cant get the crack working on this computer for some reason so it is just running in the 30 day trial for now. But as i said i got it working by turning off the OpenGL setting... The copy of CATIA i also had working on lots of computers these are issues with my new laptop that i have never seen on any of my other computers... im guessing the catia thing is also an openGL thing but i can not find any open GL setting in the options menu. one of my friends is having the same issue...

Yes as far as i know all the .NET stuff is installed

What is odd is that nvidia and Desault Systems (the company that makes CATIA) do NOT certify this graphics card to work in catia but they boast that they quadro line is great for CATIA... I called Lenovo and asked if they could send me another system with a different graphics card and apparently this is just the best card they offer and the one below it is also not certified.

Find a better crack of C4, the one I got is like 8gb and is not a crack, just a registry entry and a key gen. works perfectly.

im guessing you have no idea on the catia tho? that is a whole lot more important than ps

well i did just make some progress. when i set catia to run only on the integrated graphics it runs just fine so it becomes very apparent that its a video card compatibility issue... but for obvious reasons i really want the most power i can put on a 3d modeling and rendering program... oh well i will figure it out well thanks tho
