Doctor_Drift Posted April 4, 2014 Report Share Posted April 4, 2014 i have had a red top in my turbo datsun for 3 years and have drove it for a week with no alternator (well not working) and it still got me home. My uncle uses a blue top in his dirt cars with no alternator also and im very surprised how well they hold up i think we charged the blue top 4 times in a season lol very mistreated but still alive and strong. mopar jon Posted April 4, 2014 Report Share Posted April 4, 2014 I use the D75/25 Yellow Top Optima as it fits perfect with supplied bottom spacer and allows for extra power take offs because its dual terminal. The Red Top ive also used in the past on other vehicles without issues and they easily outlast a conventional battery.
