can you tell me the steps and what to get

fixed the car runs great now it was the ecu. what is this gm mass airflow sensor upgrade i keep hearing about ?

It's a 1987 manual conquest I took the cruise control actuator out not the cruise control computer also tried three pairs of injectors

So I had a bad ground which broke my starter and froze my throttle cable now the car starts and misfires like crazy I've tried new injectors I've checked everything and can't figure it out and it all happened after I tried my cruise control on the freeway it got stuck so I deleted it so I put a new starter in it put the grounds in the right places still won't run right miss fires like crazy seems to almost run the same when I switch the fuel injector wires when It gets warm it stays running and I can drive it barley then it will die then the starter doesn't want to turn the engine over but it does start it after a min any ideas? Cause I'm so lost

Ya I fixed the ground problem now the car is misfiring like crazy and i checked everything but I can't find the problem I think it burnt some small wires somewhere behind the dash cause smoke came from the dash or the smoke from the starter came inside the car but I can't figure it out or it could be a injector I switched the injectors and it does same thing i don't know where to start looking

So my starter went out and my throttle cable locked up all at the same time? Then I replaced both of them the new starter wouldn't start the engine then the new starter burnt out and smoke came from it and my new throttle cable got stuck again any ideas ?

what type of cam is in the stock head hydraulic flat tappet or solid flat tappet or solid roller etc ? and i need to know the stock gear ratio

ya i bought 2 conquest for 900 bucks one is a parts car and the other needed engine work very soon it will be done the guy timed it wrong the valves are trashed and the head cracked in two places so i put a brand new non jet head in and the block was fine which is good cause its built
