And different being 3" because TEP is sticking to their story on 2.5"...

Haha, oh yeah their 2.5" mythology. Most likely they just have a ton sitting on the shelf from the 90's, CNM proved them wrong with dyno results back then.

Again this is the old *DM dp , its more of a precat elimination pipe and its 2.5 inch in diameter and not 3inch , its a worthwhile mod and good for 11 to 12 rwhp , retains the use of the old precat springs so no flex pipe required , fit and finish is way superior to the T.E.P item .

Its incorrect, these dp's are 2.5 inch , still a very worthwhile purchase for those still running a stock system .

You're right, looking at the pipe it's 2.5", otherwise it would need to taper at the flange like the MK1 versions.

Yeah Sotty I remember bolting on my first TEP downpipe years ago and loving the seat of the pants improvement. One of the best mods.

What mods are necessary to mate this to the stock turbo? Looked at the other one on Ebay with the flex pipe, and stated it requires drilling new holes to mate to stock exhaust. Looking to maybe install the TEP "b" pipe and have an N.O.S. HKS exhaust I'd like to install at the same time. Any thoughts or advise on this swap guys?

Its a straight swap to the o.e.m "b" pipe ,  you retain the original springs from the o.e.m pre cat but using the new bolts hopefully provided (they should be) , this dp will also work with the T.e.p off road "b" pipe.

Either way, a 3" down pipe mated to a stock sized B pipe would make no sense.

here are some install pics of the 2.5 downpipe, using the stock turbo housing and stock exhaust. cost about $7 for the bolts and washers and just used the stock springs.

Will that downpipe use the same stock o2 sensor?

No the stock O2 sensor bolts on, not screws on. You'll need a Bosch 12053 O2 sensor.

yes he is correct the stock original one is a one piece unit. but if yours has been replaced with an aftermarket one then it should unscrew from its base.

in this pic is a ORIGINAL 02 sensor from the factory, the bosch comes with a adapter plate so it fits the stock converter. i just unscrewed the base plate on the bosch sensor and it screwed right into the downpipe.
