  1. May be interested in the rack swap. Do you have any pictures of it? Know what the rack was originally out of?
  2. Those tires are just rollers. You can see the damage the car sustained here http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=144703&st=0 I was talking with a guy that has 4 of these cars and he said that most all of them had the same problem but he didon't know what it was. I guess it could be a bent subframe. I'll have to pull it.
  3. I had this problem when I first purchased the car and I thought it was the struts. The rear drivers side is lower then passenger side. I have the coilovers set at the same levels and there is about 3/4 of an inch difference between the two sides. I thought I have read that other people have had this problem but have not found a solution. I hope the pictures help. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_172920_zps1anuzhza.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_173020_zps8btojcdm.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_173038_zpsk2b3u2bq.jpg
  4. Here is what's left of the front end damage from when I got the car. A friend of mine has a frame table to try and get it straight as we can. I will be putting wheel tubs in and caging the car. At the same time I will make a tube front end to mount all of the stock hardware to. I also scored a front bumper and air dam finally http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_172738_zpshjy5vv6d.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_172742_zps1vbipwt3.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150721_191018_zpsml1ymaxo.jpg
  5. Finally got the car on all fours. The rear coilovers are set about half way and the fronts are close to the bottom. I thought that my lean in the rear would go away by replacing all of that stuff but it hasn't. Anyone know what's going on here so I can fix it? I pulled it out of the garage to get the rest of the the bay and wheel wells degreased and cleaned. Makes it easier to finish the swap. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_172659_zps8x4ivukx.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_172726_zpsxuuzxrh2.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_172920_zps1anuzhza.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150726_172649_zpsslzanin1.jpg
  6. Thanks guys, it has turned in to quite the project. I think I may do something similar with the tranny tunnel. My main concern there is the slave cylinder is in a pretty terrible spot. As for steering, I would love to swap over to a rack but around here they are a little harder to come by. Not to many parts cars to steel it from. I am running in to the same problem you have in your write up. The exhaust on the drivers side is becoming a problem. I’m either going to have to go your route or try and swap sides with the magnum manifolds and run the drivers side over to the passenger side and run one larger pipe out the rear.
  7. Put the coilover assembly on to measure tire and wheel fitment. Both front and rear wheels are the same. 18x11. I don't believe I will go the wide up front. It kinda looks funny. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150706_210130_zpsn4fo67rx.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150706_210113_zps0lshqphq.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150706_205637_zps3fcx6xis.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150706_210242_zps2in557v3.jpg
  8. Yes the car is coming along. At this point I should have just built the G54 but no turning back now. The wheels are 18x11 ssr agle strusse.
  9. I had to partially cut the tunnel to get the tranny to fit. I probably could have "massaged" it but I would rather build my own. As you can see from the pictures I'm going to have a problem with the slave cylinder. Its right in the way of the gas pedal. I'm trying to find out if someone makes a different one or if I'm going to have to move the pedals. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_202516_zpsnwdeyxxl.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_202620_zpsu6zq75a9.jpg Test fitting the wheels. They are 18x11. These are not the wheels and tires going on the car but are similar in size and back spacing. I will not stretch my tires this far. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_204316_zps8olb8ru5.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_204322_zps3thoejjm.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_204356_zpsms4ibejo.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_204402_zpspothcsco.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_204418_zps82edzceh.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_204333_zpsedpmbkwv.jpg
  10. Cleaned up the used camber plates and took them apart to grease. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150426_173851_zpst1bmws8d.jpg New pressure plate http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150401_193415_zpsu0t50lg2.jpg Test fitting motor and tranny together. Everything seems to fit fine but I need to figure out a new bushing for the input shaft http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_183252_zpsy0mtsqhq.jpg Motor fits just need to figure out headers and engine mounts http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150702_202455_zps3mn6aakn.jpg Cleaned up the
  11. Looks like it's been a while since I have updated so I'll throw up a few pics of the car so far. There are still a few questions I need answered but I think most of the car has been figured out. Enjoy http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150321_154233_zpsptezzmc3.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150322_175437_zpsfdetmzpt.jpg Pretty close to finished product here. I did get some rear camber plates and I put the spacers in the front camber plates that are not shown here. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u517/pwrwgn77/20150426_115649_zpship1ao95.jpg
  12. I have the dual spring set up but I ran the perches at stock height. Seems to be plenty of adjustment
  13. On this same note, can someone measure up their cowl hood? I have a couple extra hoods and I was thinking I would just make one.
  14. Bob, I sent you few PM's. The springs are boxed up and ready to go if your still interested in them.
  15. 20 bucks plus whatever in shipping sound good?
