Well this will make number 9 for me. Its an 87 black/black, 5 spd, 132k miles. The body is completely straight, no dents, and its completely stock, never modified and the AC blows cold! Engine fired up the first time with a new battery. The radiator has a small pin hole leak, but will upgrade it anyway. The only down side is it was in a small front bumper hit. The bumper and the upper plastic fin trim piece was ruined, which he has replacements for already. The 88-89 air dam is still good, hood is fine, headlights are good and go up and down. The car is really dirty and has bird poop on it (right rear fender lol). Paint seems to be great with no peeling so it just might need a good wash and polish (after the front bumper and brackets are fixed).

Want to keep this as stock as possible. Will do the basics, tune up, upgrade of refresh cooling system, jet valves, etc.  Dont want to dig too deep, once you start removing stuff and changing things is when crap happens with these cars (well even stock, crap happens to these cars)

Awesome. Just clean it up and get it road ready, and enjoy it. Have someone wax that black and bring that shine back.

GST spyder. Was for sale and the owner didnt know it was a turbo and listed it just as a "eclipse convertible". Saw in one of his pictures the turbo gauge in the gauge cluster. $1300 drove home a 98 GST turbo spyder 4G63! lol

Got the interior cleaned up and leather cleaned. Need to condition it a couple more times. Wish the steering wheel was nicer. They want $350 to re-leather it! They say the prices comes from the curves they have to do and its all hand sewn.
Strange how 87's leather seems to hold up better than the 88-89.

Good job! I agree 87 leather was way more durable. I had an 89 that rust got the best of. The interior was trashed when I got it. The worst part is the shifter boot it looks like a cadaver.
I wish I kept the head rest 88-89 headrests on 87 seats is the best of both worlds imho
