my turbo had it. shaft play is left/right. so i'm looking for a turbo. would prefer maybe a 14g/16?? depends on the price, but will settle for a good stock turbo. also looking for an inexpensive njv head if anyone has one lying around. thanks

my exhaust rattles where it hooks to the oass side, right under the door. is ur exhaust stock? id check there.

2500 for a non driveable car is a bit much. i gave 2k for mine which i drive everyday and is rust free, also is an 88tsi. def should have done some more shopping, i traded a 4wheeler even up for mine. i had about 2k in the wheeler.

i believe just the cv is different. but i know pre 88 is 4 bolt cv and 88-89 are 6 bolt.

i found a list over at 2.6liter but it doesnt have my codes. it has 64j and 66j but not 65j. heres the other part of my tag, A187AMNFGL4 if someone van help me out it would b great. my interior is like a blueish color with darker inserts.

really? how many actual dd quest starions are out there? cars are ment to be driven, not sat in a garage gathering dust. this thing is SPOTLESS, absolutley no rust anywhere, car came from arkansas, before that, was Tenn. this car is also COMPLETLEY STOCK. everything is from 1988, even the clutch. the po removed the hard line from the ac and disconnected the pump. this car doesn't leak, use any fluids. this car also has heated mirrors and i guess a factory alarm?? this is what the po told me, its also got the cloth interior, but the head liner is cloth around the sunroof, but leather in the back where the vents are. there is also NO steering wheel play. it has its dings and dents, but its getting harder and harder to find rust free quest here in the NE Pennsylvaina. hell, i just pulled the boot from the turbo to check shaft play, and theres NONE! P.S. What would a rust free, dd quest go for any way? i'm not even sure how much these cars are worth, i traded a 4wheeler for this car. the rims have no curb rash, no wheel weights on the outside, has the stick on ones inside the rim.
