  1. Sweet flatly! Nice find. That instrument panel looks the same as my Technica, it's all digital. Very 80's, does it talk to you?
  2. Well I guess there will be an a-hole in every bunch. But...you guys have helped me out with my quest big time. Soooo close to getting it squared away. Thanks much. If it weren't for this community my 86 technica would not be as far along as it has come. So much to know and learn about these cars. Good times. Jamie
  3. Thanks Intercooledflatty...the epoxy thing worked, so far anyways. Still in need of a distributor. Found one on ebay it lasted about two weeks and now it's toes up.
  4. Maroon floor mats, and drivers side seat covers if they are leather. Shipped to 76501.
  5. do you have the plastic cam piece that connects to the throttle shaft, it also connects to the TPS?
  6. There is a little plastic cam that links the TPS to the throttle body shaft, mine's broken, anyone have any leads on finding a replacement?
  7. Thanks everyone. So if I ever decide to upgrade to an intercooled set up I would need to make some changes to the distrubutor I suppose? I went ahead and verified the part number and ordered an OEM unit. Thanks again!
  8. The one on my car has a part number stamped on the side T2172071, and an ink stamp that looks like REMAN MD 1112.
  9. I have read there is a difference between non intercooled and intercooled distributors. So I guess I'm kind of stuck on that. I don't really want to go the auto zona route, if I don't have to. More interested in a mitsubishi part, and they are available from amayama, I think that how it's spelled. I don't want a reman from a frickin minivan or whatever. I am in a situation with a quest that hasn't ran consistently for years. 73K miles, turbo was blown, and replaced, and it never ran well since. Basically going through the whole checklist to get it going and in a reliable running and driving situation. The person I purchased it from was not entirely up front about the problems that he was chasing, and never solved. A new or rebuilt distributor would elimiate that part of the issue, an unknown, then on to the next. Compression readings are all over the board, from 90 to 130, and a wet test didn't change much. I know that's out of line but I am hesitant to go into the head without eliminating some of the other unknowns, like ignition and TB. So, just working through some things, found that the TB was leaking coolant into the intake, so I am thinking that probabaly has a s*** load to do with the poor performance. Have a kit to rebuild ordered along with a new intake gasket, going to have the injectors cleaned and tested as well. Thanks all for your time and responses.
  10. Hey folks, I am in need of a distibutor, I have an 86 flatty non intercooled conquest. Just PM me if you have one or know who does. I tried contacting this person: Email: waynescoolworld@netzero.net (505) 299-9012 I STOCK 2.6 TURBO REBUILT DISTRIBUTORS: # PQ-D1000 which use ALL MITSU PARTS No response from email and phone disconnected. Also If I get a used one does anyone know who can rebuild it?
