Both sensor locations will work.
Putting the sensor in the intake itself exposes it to some heat soak after running the motor and shutting off, then trying to restart while it's still hot. Putting it so close to the throttle plate helps minimize this effect because it's exposed to a good flow of intake air. Most that report heat soak I think had the sensor further from the throttle body, somewhere in the plenum where the air is more stagnant and recycled. If you want to avoid this, you have to put a boss in the intercooler plumbing for the sensor as close to the throttle body as practical. It's only a problem on hot starts, and you can can probably tune around it anyway.
There is no demonstrated benefit to putting the BOV before or after the intercooler. I've seen many setups used, all worked fine. I put mine just before the throttle body so the BOV doesn't see hot air, and so the air doesn't have to back-flow through the intercooler to discharge pressure when it opens. I've seen OEM BOV setups do both before and after the intercooler, so I doubt it matters much.
