R-R-Quest
Now we're talkin'! Anyone know if this has been attempted before... a Mopar 360 in a Starquest? I really like the A series Mopar engines. They are easy to work on and make great power, torque and can rev pretty high as well. Will be watching this build. Be sure to post pics as you go! Scotty Dont
Should be a nice swap but I hate to see that you are changing the color, San Marino Yellow is my favorite.

yzrider
Your building the small block up!? Autos=boring happy to see you going with a 5 speed. How do those trans feel? Would a 4 speed manual be better? Edited January 28, 2012 by yzrider
flatblack87
an 883 4 speed would indeed be stronger but the ax15 is syncromesh with o/d and they shift very smooth if done correctly
yzrider
That's a sick project. Probably be 12 sec car easy.
flatblack87
the motor should be an approximate 450 horse to the wheels

strang3majik
Love it! Lol. And, I've seen a few small block swaps, but most were 318s and a couple 340s. I've never seen a 360 which is what I would swap in. That torque would be great in a Quest. My dream is a magnum 360 (5.9L) for the benefit of fuel injection. But, cool either way. And, let us know how that trans holds up. I've always wanted to swap a good 5 speed behind a Chrysler engine, but, there's not much out there without major modification. Oh...and don't forget to get a balanced flywheel Edited February 1, 2012 by strang3majik
flatblack87
im using a zero balance flywheel for a 3.9 magnum v6 and a balancer plate between the flywheel and crankshaft
flatblack87
well i cut out the center section of the engine crossmember today and lowered the motor down to see what i would need for clearnace after the cut, and im lookin good there. But to to place the engine in the bay correctly it will need a slight offset to the passenger side for weight distribution. So i began to measure the diameter of the trans tunnel for my bell housing and i had to cut the passenger side of the transmission tunnel out of the car and do a little hammering, ill get pics tomorrow when i can see better. flatblack87
not too bad with a car pan, and the engine crossmemer removed, which will have to be rebuilt around the front of the oil pan, ill have more photos soon
