  1. So I had an accident involving a lawnmower and my quest, and I need either a Mirror(Whole assembly, color doesn't matter) Or if you remove the small Phillip screw in the hole in the bottom of the mirror, you can Pop the glass and electrics out of the assembly and I'd take that as well. But it's up to you. It has to be an Electric and Heated. So I can put the correct mirror back. PM me if you have either option. Or PM your cell number and we can text back and forth for pics.
  2. With lasik, they can repair with compensation for astigmatism, and fix it. Yea, they do I enjoy not having mine anymore. I believe I chimed in on the last thread you had posted. For the following, oh I don't know, year, I could still "feel" the glasses on my nose. It's strange having something for so long, it does become a part of you. But I'm glad for the choice I made to do it. And the blade method is cheaper, but for my money, I would not pass up the laser method.
  3. It's so pretty-ful. Well, from the one picture there...
  4. Same here That's one of the projects I have to get around to finishing these days.
  5. I would agree, a worthwhile radar detector is the most you can do legally, it can't protect you from the police "Popping" the radar gun. Problem is, radar is good for rural streets, one car at a time, because it's usable area is so wide, it can pick up other cars in it's detection. So for interstate, they use LIDAR, the cop is stationary, with another cop along side to ticket the offenders. Laser jamming is not illegal and most laser jammers do jam quite efficiently. I have a uniden Radar detector, is does give some false positives, but for the most part, I'm sure it has saved me plenty of tickets, it also detects laser. It also went off the one time I was clocked via LIDAR by two state troopers. It was simply able to inform me, time to pull over, you have been clocked. If I had the jammer at that moment, it would've saved me the ticket, they would've simply pulled over a different car, and got what they wanted. I was ticketed for 13 over 70 the speed limit, in a group of 5 cars, they pulled me over. The cop was even nice enough to tell me I was the slowest person they pulled over that morning. And by my comment of not getting caught, was more a of general idea. I did, as you pointed out just now, consider that Laser is not a "frequency" so it's not an FCC violation like Radar is.
  6. That's why you avoid getting caught... There was one system in particular I was looking at, it was $620 and it was a radar and laser jammer It consisted of the one brain unit that mounted under the dash board and had a simple RGB LED light you would put in your view, which it would use to inform you of any detections or jams it had to do, and it had two radar/laser bars, one to mount in the front of the vehicle, and one in the back, they even recommended a way to install, which was to put it in the grill, and as close to the license plates as possible. Police are trained to use the plates because of their refractive properties and give an instant report. What this unit would do, would detect the incoming laser, and then flash it's own set of IR LEDs to confuse the gun. The laser guns would not report any false reading, they would just fail to report a speed because of the mixed input. The company guaranteed the unit with a "we will pay your speeding infraction." Their only limit, was nothing over 30mph, because that's was grave abuse. Wink Wink, Nudge nudge, "Laser Elite LE-X2"
  7. Now, from what I remember, the toyota hubs do just bolt right up, they use the same bearing size and all... Also,I don't recall anyone having to mill anything, I do remember one person having to use some flat washers to space the difference.. He used his Mighty Max brake calipers on the toyota hub and disc.
  8. They had some bad weather occur over their, and the Seagate and Western Digital factories flooded and had to turn off production... http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2128502/seagate-forecasts-sales-rise-despite-thailand-floods http://newsgadgetcool.com/by-flood-overtaken-seagate-western-digital/ Prices are likely to be high for the next few months..
  9. I can say, that I think, based off of all I've read, the "Deja Vu" experiences could be you experiencing your life in a different way. It's been said the entire universe is nothing but energy, that atoms are constantly moving. So my belief is this claim that the universe will eventually "contract" onto itself, is true. But it will repeat it's cycle, the mass of the universe will be formed again, as will we. And most would say, the odds of that are astronomical, and I would agree. But that's the only part that makes sense to me. I too, cannot understand the other religions for how nonsensical they are. So I do not partake in any of their forms.
  10. I got lasik done a few years back, and I'm so glad I did it. I don't have perfect vision, but I no longer have to wear the large lenses I had to wear before. To give you an idea about thick my glasses were, the contacts I would've been able to buy, have only become "soft" contacts in the last 5 or so years, and to add to that, I had horrible astigmatism in both eyes. I found the right place to go to, that was a proper price given the market, and had the laser process for cutting the corneal flap. Other places in my area at that time had to physically do that portion of the operation. Again, their are drawbacks, but to me, upon explanation by the doctor, I understood all the risks that posed any worries to me, and seen past them. Again, my vision currently, after the 6 months had passed that the doctor had seen most healing accomplish for his patients, I walked in for a free eye exam, and my vision is 20/25, I'm glasses free. If I did get another prescription for lenses, the Lenses would be probably as thick as cardstock.
  11. I know this is probably gonna start something, but I'll say it anyways cause this is what I gather. It looks like a police mounted dash cam. With the Timestamp and all. In the instance where the large white truck pulled over, anyone in their right mind would do the same thing. (like a fight or flight reaction, big truck pulls over, you brake. You look ahead and see lights in your lane, you brake harder and pull behind the truck.) The cop on the other hand seemed kind of arrogant and decided to pass the white truck, so he didn't brake like anyone else, then he seen the lights, and with the shorter braking distance wound up stopping in beside the white truck. Props to the swerving truck driver for being quite the excellent driver. For not only avoiding the snowplow, but also getting his truck back into his lane as quickly as possible. His only mistake was not paying attention to the snowplow being stopped in the road, so he made the same dumb decision the cop did, by judging the road clear ahead and attempting a pass. It does seem like this type of stuff happens everyday to them though. Which, honestly, I would be okay with that same sentiment here. If a wreck happens, sweep the bodies and metal out the way, and move on. Maybe I've just been around too many horrible drivers.
  12. Yes and Doubly Yes. It's the build up that does most people in. The part where one thing happens, and then later another small yet important thing happens, when it keeps stacking is what puts the weight on. I've found that, just not caring works best for me. I know it's odd, and a lot of people will insist. "Well, I just can't do that, I can't not care about things that need to be taken care of." But by letting those worries go has really put the depression I used to experience on the run.
  13. Of course, just unplug it, Without a destination date set the whole car will shake violently with nowhere to go. OT; If you have checked the idler arm(I read through the things you've said you checked and that wasn't there). Then my next guess would be a slightly out of round rim, like was brought up before, the tire places will only spin balance up to about 10-15 mph rotational speeds. That will let them discover most issues, and they can set a weight to counter act that. But if the rim has a bend, then everytime the tire comes round to the bend, it compresses differently there then it does on the rest of the rim, so you wind up with what feels like a bump. Faster you go, the higher chance you have of tuning that "bump" into something that feels like it'll yank the wheel out your hand.
