Looking good man. What size silicone hose did you use for the strut bar cut out holes?

Hmm ... I'll have to measure it for you tonight Texas.  It was pretty big, I think it might have been 1/2".  That is one of the few aspects of the trunk I don't like.  I'd like to do/find something different there to trim out those cutouts, I'm just not sure what.  I also want to go back and paint some black under there so you don't see the original white paint.

Yeah I know what you mean. I've thought about making some removable covers for the cutouts I made for the strut tower bar.

When I bought this car 9 years ago, I found an aftermarket Momo round shift knob in the glove compartment after I got it home.  It's been sitting in my garage ever since and I got to thinking it might be nice tribute to whoever the previous owner was to have this thing powdercoated the same color as the car and put it on.

Posted Image

Only problem was being an aftermarket one, it had a huge hole in the bottom and just set screws that you tighten down to hold it in place.

Posted Image

I got to thinking that I had a friend with a lathe at his house, so I gave him some measurements and asked him if he could make me a slug with a M10 X 1.25 thread I could epoxy in place.  So, he did.

Posted Image

Posted Image

You can see the slug is a little off center in these pics as it was slightly undersized.  I ended up using the set screws in the shifter to center it up along with epoxying it in place.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

It looks a touch out of place in these pics, but when you see if from standing outside the car with the blue paint it really pops and brings everything together.  No, my original leather one is not for sale. :D

Swung in to StarquestJoe's house the other week on my way back from a 4 wheeler event.  He was kind enough to hook me with these black-top rear seats that I've been eyeballing for a while now.

Posted Image

These are the originals in my car.

Posted Image

After a few minutes of unbolting a few things, got them swapped around.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I like it much better!  Huge props to Joe.  For now, the tops are solid panel and the bottom cushion is perforated.  But, I'm hoping this is going to be the year to have everything reupholstered, so once that is done everything will match.

Finally, got her all washed up and detailed for an upcoming show .... I'll let you guys know how it goes.

one more interior tip for your show. Dab a qtip in ATF to bring back the seat belt release levers to red. Works on all those red plastics pretty well

I have not had a chance to swap those on yet and try them out. I'm current running domestic injectors with a modified top hat, so I have to change over a few things. I did receive them though. Thank you.

Did well at the show.  198 cars present.  Won the 80's class.  This is the 2nd time I've swapped in the original OEM tan mats I have before I left, and the 2nd time I've won .... I think I'm on to something .... lol.

Next show is July 4th :D
