I have a set of ST lowering springs on my 87 with mk1 older rear struts and tokiko front inserts. Using mk1s adj camber plates front and rear. Lowers it about an inch. Without the camber plates you would get more. Maybe a 1/2 to 1" more max. They ride a little stiff cause they are not progressive springs.
Eibach springs are progressive and you'll get about the same in lowering. Smoother ride.

Dont know about mk1s lowering springs.

And you have D2 coil overs (if you can find them cause they are out of production)
And a new company Legiom Motorsports, offering coil overs what apear to be comparable to D2s.
I got blisters on my fingers!!!

Called the manufacturer and guy l talked with said that only thing that needs moded is the nut that holds the front insert in needs ground down some so sleave fits over it. Any other input from guys that installed them before is much apreciated thank you.

With my Cosmos, I had to drill out the hole on the aluminum top hat so it slid over the strut.   Just make the hole bigger.

Wait D2 makes Cosmo stuff? I thought Cosmo was it's own brand from Canada?

I was about to correct you. Cosmo and D2 are not the same. Cosmo are just coilovers. D2 is a full system and MUCH nicer ;)

And stiffer.   If thats what people want....some wouldn't consider it nicer.

In my 9 yrs here, I've seen used sets for sale because people didn't like the ride......
