  1. What I mean by limited budget is that I dont have a lot of left over money to work with. It all goes to other bills so my toy fund is a little low right now. Between this project and my 1970 Mustang project its going to be difficult to muster up the money for a big overhaul you know? So the cheaper the better.
  2. Cool. Thanks a bunch man. Appriciate it.
  3. I don't really know much about it. the guy that i got it from couldnt really tell me anything about it. But the same guy i got the car from is the one that said the engines would swap out. but if there is that much difference in them then it might be easier to just rebuild the one out of the car for now but eventually i want to put a 5.0 in there. Another problem that i may run into is that the engine from the car is not in the car so i think i may need to find some pictures of how that engine hooks back up. Also where can i get a rebuild kit?? thanks again
  4. Hi, I just aquired an 89' Conquest tsi but it has a blown engine. So i pulled a 2.6L out of a Ram 50 that i need to work on, but that wont work with the turbo. From what i was told the 2.6L engine in these was notorious for blowing the bottom end because they couldn't hold up with the turbo. So on to my question. What engine would be the easiest to swap this out with, with the least amount of modifications to the engine bay. I am sort of on a budget and am limited on fabrication tools. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
