  1. Still looking. Nothing came of Harry's car and it seemed to be the most like what I am looking for. Still want an automatic, SHP preferred or the 8's and 9's installed. Must shift well and mods done well are a bonus. Mark
  2. No pics came to sftamx1@verizon.net. Just send them to my address marksweet@webtv.net Mark
  3. I have seen the 3 year old pics and it looked nice. I am interested in current pics and ones of any damage also. Harry does not return phone calls and I also gave him another email addy to send the pics to as the first guy could not access them. He can send them to me and also to sftamx1@verizon.net I will try to call him when I am off this site! mark
  4. Has the car ever been rusted-repaired? It does not have the wider wheels like Harry's does it? You tell me what you want to get for it please and describe the interior and anything that is wrong or needs attention. I can deal with the good stuff but need to know what I would need to repair! mark PS: If you have pics listed then ignore the equest for more.
  5. Still looking guys. I just can't get in touch with harry as it seems he works a ton of hours. He has a nice Fiji blue with the SHP option and the automatic I want with a couple of performance mods, too bad! That is what I am looking for as far as condition. mark
  6. IT WOULD BE NICE IF IT HAD THE SHP OPTION AND BLACK PAINT BUT ALL CONSIDERED. MUST BE OR HAVE BEEN A RUST FREE CAR. NO SHABBY INTERIORS OR BURGANDY INTERIORS. PLEASE LIST ALL MODS AND LOCATION AND PRICE WANTED. BE REALISTIC. I JUST PARTED OUT A '93 TALON I HAD OVER $25K. IN AND WILL BE LUCKY TO HIT $7000. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE YOU AUTOMATIC OWNERS! 4.22 REARS ARE PREFERRED ALSO BUT I MAY NEED HAZTOYS TO SET ME UP THERE! MARK
  7. Which car are you talking about? What do you know about Hmonsta who has a fiji blue automatic. nice looking with SHP option and '83 hood. Said he bought it from a member 3 years ago. I am also looking at a tangerine one in the for sale forum. I want to get back into a quest and the tangerine one has 3.90's and a 19C. I like the 19C for torque and the gears too but i would have gone with the 4.22's! He said it is at 3000 rpm's at 80mph and I would drive at 70 so 4.22's might be OK!!! Mark
  8. Well where are you? How can we set a date for me to look at the car? I have to find out where akron is! What else can you tell me about the car, options and body condition and such? Thanks, Mark
  9. Looking for one with black paint preferred, never rusted. Color can be other if car is in excellent condition otherwise but must be automatic and the closer to Syracuse, NY the better, thanks-Mark
  10. Breather on the valve cover. Plug the one that goes to the oil pan. leave the one from the frame open as i believe that is the gas tank line that should vent. Not sure of the other as i don't remember where it goes!
  11. You need a 1g lid and the cone shaped K&N filter for the same 1g. The clips from the lid will hold the K&N in place. You may have to plug some vac. lines or make a custom intake pipe or get k Kelly's hard pipe and you will be all set. Mark
  12. '84 has4 wire harness, '88has 6(?) wire mas. Check it out. Must be an '88 with the injectors and all.mark
  13. You most likely have an '88 mas. If the harness clips to the top of the air can lid you have an '88. If it goes to the bottom of the aircan, '84 and out of luck. See what you have and let us know. I did the hardwire/solder from the FAQinstructins, easy.Mark
  14. Andy the trim is the relationship between the inducer and exducer of a wheel, compressor or turbine. I'll talk compressor wheel. As you look into the bore at the wheel you see the inducer section of the wheel. Let's say the size measured there is 2.13". If you dissassembled the turbo and the measured section at the wide part(exducer of a comp wheel) and got say 3.00" you can calculate the trim. the formula is: 100*(2.13/3.00)^2=trim. In english divide the inducer size by the exducer size and square it. Multiply that number by 100 will give you the trim. In this case it is a 50 trim compressor wheel. Unless you were an engineer you could not put this to use. It involves the way the air comes off the wheels fins as it is being compressed. The 50 trim is a very popular wheel for the DSM's 2.0 motor as it seems to be very efficient and pump gas friendly allowing up to 22 psi on pump on those motors. I run one on my '93 Talon. Boosted_One should know a bit as he is familiar with Garrett turbo's which can be custom built using the trim whels the customer wants unlike a standard Mitsu 16G for example. Hope I helped a little. 15. Soundslke you have a car that has never had the injectors cleaned or the ISC/TPS reset, basic maintainence. The oil seperator may be plugge. Tat's the small canister attached to the air box. follow the line down to the ol pan and pull it off there and see what flow out if anything. I don'd recll the seperator being open to the filter. you should pull the intake "accordian" hose and check for oil in there also. mark
