skyle22
The starion sat all summer, as I was riding the CBR around the whole time. Now that its getting cool, I figured I would change the oil before driving the starion around. Pulled the plug and coolant rushed out. Question is, where do I start looking for the issue? Head gasket? Warped head/block? Turbo? What should I check first?
psu_Crash
ouch ... I would start with a compression test. If the HG is shot that bad it should show up. It could also be the intake gasket or a few other things. It's is probably not the turbo. Oil and water are pretty well separated there.

Starfighterpilot
Hopefully the piston rings didn't weld (rust) themselves to the cylinder wall if you have a cracked head and the engine sat all summer long with coolant in the cylinder(s). Get a large socket on the the front crankshaft bolt and see if the crankshaft turns in a clockwise direction. If it does then that problem goes away. If not, well you are looking at a major engine rebuild. Like PSU_Crash said above, if the compression pressures are OK, then pull the TB and check it's mounting gasket to the intake manifold flange. Any coolant sitting in the intake manifold? It would probably be a good idea to rebuild the TB as long as you have it off. You can get the PROPER TB rebuild kit from Dad. Good Luck! For What it's Worth. KEN
