  2. Before.. http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv30/cecollins82/IMG_engine_zpsjtjvty0u.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv30/cecollins82/IMG_0273_zpszvuc2mn3.png http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv30/cecollins82/IMG_0222_zpsxlnv7jqr.jpg After a little love! http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv30/cecollins82/IMG_0305_zpsjgtvletg.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv30/cecollins82/IMG_0306_zpsb4erjnpn.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv30/cecollins82/IMG_0308_zpsc5mb6f51.jpg We got the usual tune up items.. NGK plugs and wires, OEM Ignition coil w bracket, new fuel filter (old one was made in hell and almost killed me) and changed the oil and coolant. On top of that we upgraded some of the genius work the P/O did.. (not Scotty lol) Got a TEP OVCP for the hack job you saw the top of this post Also picked up a silicon replacement for the "modified" 86 accordion boot that was taped in plus a nice stock radiator hose & AN line from a great member (big shout out to Questsale!) Last part was pulling the valve cover to fix a leaky plug and of corse.. sand, paint and assemble
  3. I did some research and found out where I need to connect the two white wires on my Bosch sensor. It looks like the existing wires have to be extended to make it to the positive 12v and the ground.. I can handle that, but when I get to the blue wire on the wiper motor how do I splice into it? The negative wire will just get extended.. Then will be capped so it can be screwed into the ground.. I think lol need a quick step by step and I can handle the rest.. As always your help is greatly appreciated
  4. thanks for the replies... was lifting the cover to replace the rubber gasket and to reseal the plug. i haven't seen the top end of the engine before and i was just hoping people with experience would lend me their eyes and confirm that everything was looking OK

  6. OK! The bottom end was just kinda dangling with no logical thing to screw it into and the fat end that the second wire is wrapped around to is of corse coming off the ignition coil... So the problem is ii seem to have spaced on where the other ground with the smaller wire goes (the one wrapped around) As shown i am thinking that it was tied back around to itself, but this car is hacked and i took a picture of every other part but this one :/ any help is appreciated!
  7. I got some head gasket kits at Rock auto with fel pro bolts.. Will be diving into the engine soon, waiting on parts!!
  8. TB was open cold.. That was he most recent check I kinda forgot when I did it hot :/ at it was a lot more even and all cylinders were around 125
  9. Well the cold compression check was not as good as I hoped.. 130, 115 or (110 depending), 120 and 130
  10. I had no time this weekend or I would have checked the turbo.. A lot is shot on this car so I am tempering my expectations 🙄 Coolent level has not changed much since I have been looking but I only ran the car across town to engine guy who said he did not think it was the head.. Please lord let that be true! At the moment she has no power.. Noticed the car's steering wheel lighting was blinking as I was driving, then it got worse as I got closer to home when there was not enough power to make my turn signals blink.. Just a solid light :/ The battery is from this year so I am thinking either more bad wireing, or bad alternator.. I am waiting on a few things to show up then I will install and see if anything is running better then before. Also!! There is an oil leak coming from the half moon shaped (plug??) on my engine... I have to seal it up with the red permatex but I wanted to make sure the smoke was not coming from the head With such good numbers on my compression test I am leaning away from a bad head but I have very little experience with engines.. Just hope I guess lol, as always anyone's imput is welcome thank you!
