FIP Pro 2 MSD 6 Wiring Diagram for an 87

I have searched on the site until I am about to blow a gasket. I have found numerous drawings on the installation of MSD 6 with the 8910.

I want to eliminate the igniter on my '87. I have the MSD6 with the caravan module, Blaster 2, MSD pn 8920 tach adapter.

I would like a drawing of the wiring instruction for this setup.

Another few questions

1. Exactly which wire is the tach wire? I see the tach filter with one black wire and one white wire and also the small black thing with the blue wire

2. Exactly which wire under the hood is the wire coming from the key(ignition)

3. I have two wires coming from my distributer. They are really small and are a red one and a white one. what are these ? (probably would be answered in drawing

4. Could someone identify the wires surrounding the coil. I would really like to know what I am dealing with in this area and I could possibly tell what should be hooked up and what shouldn't and where

THANKS IN ADVANCE !

Yes I have read this. I don't see what I am asking about. I don't see the exact tach wire, it also doesn't say anything about the tach filter, or the caravan adapter, or wires from the distributer, nor does it cover the MSD pn 8920 at all. It is a good one on the FIP Pro2 but my Pro 2 is hooked up, for some reason I lost ignition. I had a no spark condition. I was going to change my igniter to the 88 and newer gold box, but decided to change out my tach adapter instead. I was running the 8910, which uses the stock igniter, but want to eliminate the igniter all together by using the 8920, but somewhere during the swap I disconnected a couple of wires too many at one time and have really gotten crossed up. However I have never touched the wiring for the Pro 2, just igntion wires on the coil and amp, and the distributer.

HELP!

Some people seem to post a question and in a day or so you see the little fire symbol beside it because of all of the replies. I don't know if I have been cast out for some unknown reason or what but, I can not seem to get a reply off of this board anymore. I have PM'd several of you here and received no response, this is even when I am trying to buy something. I thank import warrior for responding. I have been a member of this site for quite a while, as you can see. I have posted problems in the past and have gotten very quick and informative replies, and am eternally grateful. Lately, however, I get one maybe two replies to my post, then I am cast off to the "dungeon." I don't have a lot of posts relating to my Starquest problems, because I am a firm believer in the "search" feature, and the "FAQ" and solve most of my issues with these methods.

I even tried to almost give away a great running freshly painted '87 here a while ago and got very little response. I got more response and actually a sale from another lesser quality, lesser membership, board.

The questions I have asked could be answered very easily by any number of MODS or members on this site.

Just wondering. I proudly display my "Got Boost" Starquest.com license plate frame, and will continue to do so, because current situations cannot tarnish all I have gotten from this site in the past, but I was just wondering.

Sorry for the long post, but frustration has set in.

To answer the question about using the 8920... I don't think you can use that one - pick up an 8910 tach adapter and use one of the numerous diagrams with that. I tried it with an 8920 and could never get it to work.

This is how I have mine - fip tbpro 2, msd6-al, and eliminated the ignitor:

Do you have the caravan ignition module? Wells part # cr125 - pick it up at any local autoparts store. That is needed to run the msd and eliminate the ignitor.

The FIP tb pro2 instructions have the tach signal wire information you are looking for. There is a single tach wire from the MSD unit - just run that up to the tach signal wire in the FIP harness. I think it's an orange wire if memory serves....

the 12v keyed ignition is one of the wires off the distributor - shown in that diagram. When you pull the distributor and swap out that module, just make a note of which wire goes to which per the diagram.
