took out the G54B, it will be for sale with TONS of extra parts.

so now im looking for a swap.

id like to do an LS1 swap. maybe after someone perfects it, i hover over those specific forums daily.

i dream of a EJ25, i think about Buick 3.8, um there is teh Exotic RB's, and 2JZGTE option. dare i say K24 boosted... id love the K24( yes honda ) not a nissan.

somthing like T56, T5...Turbo400 for trans??? leaning T56

i did What i could with the G54b, i made 400 hp and drove it, has 20k miles on a fully built Engine and dosnt leak. ill put all that in teh For sale ad.

i just dream of no more Distributor, 4 injectors, 1..2..or 4 cams, 10k red line  . Simple things

Ideas... please

Mitsubishi 2.1L "de-stroker" will rev to 11k. I also like the idea of using the Mitsu 6G7x.

Im a huge fan of inline 6s. I dont know if theyre any good but there were Mercedes I6s on eBay really cheap, and the same motors at least used to have a turbo kit available.

Not sure if its what youre looking for but I like the Chrysler 360.

Wanting new technology in an old car is the way to be! I feel exactly the same way. Personally, Im trying to stick Mitsubishi with the motor, and am considering a 6G7x swap. My ideas are never popular but whether or not I go 4G6x or 6G7x I want to have MIVEC. Another high tech option that seems to me to have potential is GDI, which Mitsubishi has embraced. GDI and performance never seem to be in the same sentence, but from a technical standpoint I dont see why not.

Again, anything inline 6. I dont think theres been a Nissan RB swap with our cars yet.

And Im not too familiar with a lot of the newer engines, but some of the smaller displacement V8s appeal to me. The Ford 4.6 is somewhat of an example, but even newer, for example, is the 3.9L V8 used in the RWD Lincoln LS and New Thunderbird.

Oh, and if youre going to go with V6, I personally like the 60 degree types. Theres a lot of really sweet 90 degree V6s, but to me a 90 degree V6 is not "new technology".

Another swap I think would be really cool is the BMW 4cyl, I think it was called S20 or E80 or something, but its an engine that I often see on 10 best lists, and stock had ITBs (oh yeah ITBs and a turbo would definitely be new).

how hard do you think it is if your water pump goes out on an BR26DETT

LS1..T56 most tempting

EJ25 too, motors out, time to measure and get some numbers, do some comparison.

here is the old engine siting on my floor

We did that for him here at GM Design in Detroit. I saw that car about a month ago in a bunch of pieces. Must be nice when you go directly to the car company to get your custom $hit done for you. Nice car for sure.

its kinda boring looking, but its an option

Indeed. Maybe try to make a custom intake manifold, dual throttle bodies? Then itd look awesome. Or if youve ever seen the 6G73 swap (only one Im aware of) that has already been done in a Quest, that has a large single throttle body right in the center of the engine, fed by twin turbos, also very nice.

But, please tell me more about this EJ25. If you dont do this I am strongly considering it as an option. But Im really under the impression it wont fit, or will be very difficult. But yeah I want to know how feasible this is.

Oh and that 1UZ Cressida is awesome. Cressidas are definitely a favorite car of mine.

so i did a little more on the EJ engines, found out there all differant widths height and lengths

first off is teh EJ20 http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/yokomo99/Photo0551.jpg

coming in at 32.5 "s wide 18"s long and 24"s tall

next we have the EJ22http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/yokomo99/Photo0552.jpg

at only 30"s wide and teh same width of 18", but a height of 22"s this is as a stock manifold would be,

in this case i was just using his dimensions, all these cars are at 1 place makes it easy lol.

and last is a EJ25 Block with single cam headshttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/yokomo99/Photo0550.jpg

its 30.5" wide, 18"s long and and 20"s high in this case with custom intakes

a bone stock EJ25 (Sti) engine is what im thinking if i could go this route, even with the Sti trans.

heres a pic of an STI tranny http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/yokomo99/pic_03.jpg

so there's some minor searching on that option, i havn't measured the engine bay on the quest yet, i'm prepared to cut out fender wells :)

ill have to go measure up that mivec this weekend

for giggles, K20 in a bughttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/yokomo99/Photo0198.jpg

if you want to see more on that build http://k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43558

mmm 302 swap looks pretty juicy, i could do with out the GIANT distributor taking up half the front of the engine lol. there has to be some kinda EDIS For 5.0 kit. ...

taking some T5 and T56 measurement's tommarrow after work.

EDIT...

i just saw teh specs on the TOYOTA 1UZFE... wow...WOW...im almost sold on it...just WOW, i thank Brazilboy ... im doing so much 1UZ research right now
