  1. Sup SQC, I just moved back to GA from Texas and need a couple parts for the Starion - would love if I could grab some from the Atlanta/Southeast area. I'm looking for the passenger side window regulator, the fusible link box, the air conditioning controller, an 89 ECU, and the heat shield that goes on top of the turbo. In additon, do the Atlanta/North Georgia members ever do any types of meet-n -greets or something? I'd love to be more involved in the scene and meet some folks who can pass down some Starquest secrets. Hit me up through PM and let me know what you have! Thanks for the help!
  2. Thanks all for the feedback. As my car is mostly stock, I suppose I am now in the market for a new stock intercooler. What should I expect to pay for one in good or like-new condition? Thanks again for the help.
  3. Sup sqc, I recently damaged my intercooler, and wanted to know what the consensus is on a replacement? Is it better to replace with a stock intercooler, or one that flows better? What are the options for a bolt-in replacement? Thanks for helping out.
  4. Sup sqc So 3000 miles later, my EFI system is shot. I've seen the posts from Randy for the injector clips, and browsed the injector thread posted by prfessor quest (?) and wanted to know where the best place would be to actually purchase the injectors/o-rings, the MAF, the clips and whatever else I need to make sure I do it right. The couple of places I went were out of stock on the items, and my local Mitsu dealer told me they couldn't order them. Any body know if the injectors are still being offered in the injector thread?
  5. Thanks everyone for the warm responce. I will be replacing the injector clips as soon as I can. Is there a good place to order them from? Glad to see some members from Texas, and especially another Georgia alumnus! Go Dawgs! Seems like Georgia is well represented on this board; I've seen some people that went to Tech and Southern Poly. Not enough Georgia out here in Texas; it makes me homesick sometimes.
  6. Hi all, I've been into these cars for some time, and finally pulled the trigger on a red 87 Conquest about 4 weeks ago. I feel I may have overpayed somewhat, but I'm excited to have the car nontheless. Mine is intercooled and someone has done some kind of modification to the car, although I am unfortunately not a good enough mechanic to figure out exactly what. The car does have a few problems - it has a funky issue with the turbo where it occassionally cuts off at around 3500 RPM when you're dogging the car pretty hard. Haven't figured that one out, but I suspect its a bad secondary injector connection. I bought the car in Georgia, then after giving it a run through, promptly drove it 1100 miles to Austin TX. Today, while changing out the battery terminals, I had the misfortune of shorting out the 1 fuse, so tomorrow I will be trying to fix that. A little about me/my mechanical background: I am a recent graduate of the University of Georgia, my first car was a daily driver 1967 Dodge Dart which I still own, and I have a nasty habit of starting project cars, getting them to "driver" status, and prematurely entering the "maintenance" stage. My father is the senior mechanic of our team, so I've been learning the ropes for as long as I can remember. I'd love to meet up with some other members of this forum around Austin, as I am a bit lost with the Conquest - its not as simple or familiar as my Dart (at least, not yet)! I'm looking forward to drawing on your collective expertice and hope to have my Quest as cherry as some of yours. Attached are a few photos of my cars. Tom
