Kinda want to replace the 80s cell phone Antenna on my starion. Anyone have any good alternatives? Looking for something not nearly as conspicuous while also powerful. Wondering what others here have on their rides

Ditto. What is a good fixed antenna that's short.  Like 12-18" long.   The telescoping one is too prone to failure.....

Mine works surprisingly enough. The car just looks goofy with it sticking up.  I'm one of those wierdos who still uses the radio

you could always remove the rear wiper and antennae, get one of burtons smooth spoilers with those items deleted, and then install a shark fin on the roof at the back.

There used to be a guy on here that removed the window squirter from the top of car and routed one from a jetta or similar roof antenna through that spot.

Had one of these up above my rear view mirror at the very edge of the windshield.  Sticky mounts on the inside, wires routed down the inside of the a-pillar to a switched power source and radio.

What about the short stubby antennas? Any that replace the RC car looking antennas that come on ours?

Almost every car now days has one of those "shark fin" style antennas from the factory... I played with the idea of using one of those and putting a small hole in the back of it for the rear window sprayer, i am going to run a window antenna until i figure something else out since my car had no antenna when i bought it.

you could always just use an FM radio app on your phone if you've swapped out your radio with something with bluetooth or an aux port :)

Why swap to get aux? I did the aux in mod to the stock radio and plan on completing the conversion to a bluetooth setup after i get the car running
