artinist
I am working on a fixed headlight conversion. This kit will be using dual Hella Optilux 2500 4" round lights with angel-eye halos. the housing is fiberglass and the cover is plexiglass. http://www.antimpower.com/products/headlights/angel2.jpg http://www.antimpower.com/products/headlights/look.jpg http://www.antimpower.com/products/headlights/sample.jpg

JamesR
Cool! I've been wanting this mod for a long time. Will there be a lexan cover? Also, will you be selling the kit without lights? I have some HIDs that I was going to use, just haven't go around in making my own kit. Conquest351
Looks killer!! I want one too, I'd like mine left clear on top. Also, if the pop-rivets are painted black or are omited that would be cool, keep it looking smooth. You might think of making the clear cover come around the sides and there you could bond the two pieces together. I dunno, just a brainstorm. I like the way it looks though, very very nice man!! laters, Brian

Ray_R
well, we just got another small step done. Here is the general design. The top portion could either be left clear, tinted, or painted either body color or black. I think black will look mean  ;D. what do you guys think? http://www.antimpower.com/products/headlights/look.jpg great work there art, keep it simple. ill be the first in line to purchase one. Quest4Power
if those look half as good as the sketch i'm in for some as well... i can't seem to get mine to look right and i'm not great with the fiberglassing.
Conquest351
Art, Not to sound like a dork or anything, but do you think square lights would fit these cars a little better? Like maybe one square low beam and one projector? I dunno I'm just thinking out loud. I'm not saying your design doesn't look killer but it may look weird with the shape of our cars. MAY look weird. PROLLY will look killer. Like I said, i'm just talkin out my a**. Laters, Brian
Quest4Power
it will look good, i will attest to that. when i had my "ghetto" fog lights in there with the cover on the lights looked awesome. i'm experimenting with mounting the stock sealed beams in there for more light than the foglight setup though, should be easy to do and have good output. Conquest351
Cool, like I said I was just thinkin out loud. LOL I really am lookin forward to what they'll look like on our cars. JamesR
How about just eliminating the tunnels and make it open. I think the lines would better fit our cars and would be easier to make. Also, the lighting would be better. http://home.fuse.net/remo/look2.jpg Something in the line of the 924 GTS lights below. http://home.fuse.net/remo/WB1.jpg http://home.fuse.net/remo/WB2.jpg
artinist
you cant use those lights on our car. my friend has a 944 and unlike ours their car has more space behind the light for a those headlight. I also dont think they did a very good job with those. at least they should have painted their housing black to hide all that home made metal work. Hopefully mine will look a little more professional than those.
Quest4Power
How about just eliminating the tunnels and make it open. Â I think the lines would better fit our cars and would be easier to make. Â Also, the lighting would be better. that's almost exactly what my lights look like right now. i scrapped the high dollar hellas for some sylvania silverstars sealed beams and dropped them in like in the porsche pic you posted. i'll get some pics soon. Rusky
Art, You're a busy man right now, with all these fabrication projects going on. That sketch looks awesome man. I'm not a real big fan of the round lights on our cars, but if it looks like that.... Good work so far, keep it up, can't wait to see the finished product. Will you be fabricating these as a kit or something also, for the ones that are interested ??? Will be keeping an eye on this thread as well now. ;D
JamesR
artinist, I don't have a problem with the round lights, I just think housing should be more open without the tunnels. More or less like the gray starquest above. Another option I thought would look good would be a similar setup as a 300z with a round projector and square light, but I don't think our car has enough room for that setup. I agree that the housing should be painted or something. I'll assume your making a fiberglass housing of some sort. James
