  1. Yes, I still have it! Message my inbox please! I don't like texting anyone without taking to them first.

The bottom end has been rebuilt with new rings and bearings and obviously new seals and gaskets. It also has a new XTD stage 3 racing clutch, water pump, Trilogy injectors, and almost new rear tires. Everything else has been checked, tested, cleaned, greased, etc. It's 99% done with only a few easy things needing to be completely finished. Physically the car looks great and the interior is phenomenal. I have some cheap racing seats in the car right now that I don't like but everything else is original. The exterior is pretty good as well with the exception of hail dents in the hood and roof, clear coat missing from two spots on the passenger side and various small scratches and what not. I believe with a little money, touch up paint and some paintless dent repair, it will be show quality. I love this car, it's a head turner and I rarely go out without someone stopping me to ask about it, look at it, etc. I does need some more things done that I have not gotten around to which I will list here but the car runs, idles and drive almost perfectly as is. What needs done to make this car perfect: -Water pump needs put on -Trilogy injectors need put on -Needs new radiator -clutch leaks fluid (probably didn't get tight enough) -CTS needs replaced I believe -lots of hail dents on hood and roof -wipers are slow?!?? (I've dealt with it, they do the job fine regardless) -front tires are good but a little dry -tail lights currently need finished (molding in round lights, just need sanded and painted now) -Motor mounts are original but seem to be holding up just fine -Rear rubber mounts I've been told are getting old -Exhaust needs welded (it's just clamped right now from where it was cut to remove the exhaust manifold) -and last! People have told me to put transmission fluid in the power steering pump, now it's hard to steer! Before when I was using actual power steering fluid it was fine. So it needs drained I believe and replaced with the right fluid. If you live close, you can drive this car home no problem, but if you live over an hour I would bring a radiator and then drive it home. I am asking $4000 for this car. I really want to keep it but it was part of the deal when we bought our house. I traded the tittle of the car to the owner of the house for $3000 towards the down payment. In 4 months I will have to either give him $3,000 cash or the car. I wont be able to come up with the money so I would rather sell the car than loose a grand on it. 3. I have this exact same problem! I'd love to know what works for you.
  4. I need money to get my car back on the road! I posted these before and promised them to a member but was unable to follow through with shipping so this time they are pick up only and I'm motivated to sell them. They are light gray center and darker gray/blue bolsters. The driver seat has light wear marks and a small rip in the cloth as seen in the photos. I am using the rails and seat belts for my new seats, so they won't be included. I also have the plastic covers for the sides as well as screws, bolts, etc (not sure if all there but if picked up we can probably find everything). They are in pretty good condition considering the age! I vacuumed the driver seat and took a bunch of pictures of it because 1, I didn't have much time and 2, the passenger seat is just like it but in better condition. $250 is what I need to get my crank shaft and pistons back, so that's what I'm asking for the seats. 27292 Lexington, NC.
  5. Check the fuesable links beside the battery. Mine used to do that all the time. Corrosion and filthy wires in general. I replaced all mine and cleaned the terminals.
  6. Anyone know where I can get one or if its called by a different name? You can see the part listed on this vacuum diagram.
  7. I'm going attempt to rebuild my engine! I've purchased a bsek, full gasket set, head bolts, water pump, fuel injectors, wires, plugs, coil, cap, rotor button, rod bearings, and all hoses and belts. Anything else I really need to get while I have the engine out and apart?
  8. When I put new oil in the car I used an additive that had a swirly sparkly look to it which resembled metal dust in the oil. I really think its a rod bearing after all my research. That was my original thought to begin with. What bothers me though is I've had lots of 80 model cars with much higher miles, in worse shape and have never had so much trouble out of a car. Even after all the work I've done to it trying to ensure this wouldn't happen. Now I may end of having to part out a good car because I'm not a good enough mechanic to get it fixed right. I'll jack it up and see what I can do myself, but this is all a bummer.
