I actually have a core2 duo e6300 1.86ghz lga775 processor, 2gb of ddr2 800mhz and 1gb 533mhz that I just pulled from my pc that I regularly gamed on since 07 to begin a new build because new parts are cheaper than the older stuff!

Pm me your budget and I'll work something out with you. My motherboard took a nose dive with respect to the peripheral ports but the processor and ram all seem intact although I cant get a video signal out, it still posts.

The processor clock speed sounds low but has been a surprising powerhouse in my pc for years and never slowed a single bit. running intense video games, web browser flash plugins and music at the same time.

My bad. I meant to put E5300 and edited to suit.

ddr2 and 775 chips are still in high use, not a long shot at all and not all that expensive. a core 2 quad and 4gb of ram should be somewhere under $200 new so used shouldn't be that bad.

still pretty pricey for a man only get 630 a month too live on im trying to help him the best i can but things r tight for me as well

well i just found out this board will support upto a 3.0 quad core WOW socket 775 anyone else have a cpu?

I said that, I'm running a 2.6 quad core duo with 4gb ram, 2.5Tb HDD and playing the newest Diablo on a 775 board. I think I have spent $500 total on my computer. and I'm running a solid state drive for my OS.

*facepalm

what i am saying is the range of parts that fit on that board are so wide that parts are a dime a dozen. To buy my PC already made from a store would run you a few thousand. look on craigslist and you should be able to find whatever you need for $20 here and there. I bought my board, ram, processor and video card for $150 and it's a 2.6 quad core with 4gb of ram with a video card that has 1gb of ram on it. you don't need all that so I am sure you can get what you are looking for for much less.
