Yes i know dell motherboards are proprietary and i have bought 2 dell motherboards for my xps same model number and both had issues different ones i have verified by another dell pc that all my other stuff is golden i was questioning my cpu untill i put it in another dell and it runs perfect in it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And what are the symptoms its a xps 420 if you do some research you will find this thing is prone too the issues im haven it has diagnostic lights on it too help you determine the issues 1st motherboard all lights stayed on and all fans ran full blast no matter what you do 2nd motherboard lights 1-3-4 was on fans normal no boot according to dell the 1-3-4 combo isnt a known combo of lights and yes ram works great in other dell 8gb pc6400 corsair gamming ram Edited March 7, 2012 by Tman Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
