Brake replacements Advice

Looking for a good OEM - Rotors and Ceramic pad.  I'm not interesting in going to the BBK's at this time.
I would like slotted rotors - but do not think I need drilled and slotted one or the other.  Which one should I choose and why?
I want to keep it as original as possible being the unicorn 85 1/2 StarQuest.

I was thinking about these made in the USA according to Fleabay?!


I think I still have the original rotors on my car.  At 70k miles it time for them to go as I can see stress cracks in most of the rotors..

i ran rear rotors i had got from autozone for 10.99 each. and cheap front rotors that were 32.99 each. no issues at all.

i now have drilled and slotted on te car and they seem to be just fine. to me properly torquing the wheels on makes a big difference.

have stock on rear and the slotted centric (from rockauto) on the front.   Ive seen drilled rotors crack with too much heat.

just looked at rock they have one each of the slotted rotors for the front.

If youre looking for no dust I think any of the ceramic pads will do.  I run power stop ceramics on my DD's.They do reduce the stopping distance.  I wish I had them for my quest but, I am running full race pads I got from a member on here. So I cant complain.

Looks like a good set to me.I used some from ebay and they have done well so far.

I think that I just saw RockAuto is having some nice closeout deals right now and I'm pretty sure I saw some rotors in there.  Might want to check those awesome prices. :D

Unless you are racing the Unicorn, I wouldn't go with either slotted, drilled rotors, or ceramic pads. Bad decision all the way around. You will have a real crunchy feel and rotors that won't last long.
With stock rotors (they are oversized as it is and won best braking in its class for years), and soft pads, it will have a very nice feel and rotors will last a very long time as you can already attest to. Soft pads need replaced sooner, but they are dirt cheap and you can replace them 3 times to the cost of one set of ceramics.

Hey Tim C.  Good advice I don't put more than five hundred miles or so on this a year. I p.m. you for a few more specific details. Thanks all for your advice. I will check out RockAuto tonight and see what they have.
