  1. Is this car still for sale? If so what is or are the issues with this pinnacle of all StarQuests.

fromji, that was pretty painful to read; in more ways than one. I hope all works for you. Keep us posted.
  3. An interesting quote I stumble across. "Paratroopers are about the most peculiar breed of human beings I have ever witnessed. They treat their service as if it were some kind of cult, plastering their emblem on almost everything they own, making themselves up to look like insane fanatics with haircuts to ungentlemanly lengths, worshipping their units almost as if they were a Gods, and making weird animal noises like a band of savages....... They'll fight like rabid dogs at the drop of a hat just for the sake of a little action, and are the cockiest sons of ***** I have ever known. Most have the foulest mouths and drink well beyond man's normal limits, but their high spirits and sense of brotherhood set them apart and, generally speaking, the United States Army Paratroopers I've come in contact with are the most professional soldiers and the finest men I have ever had the pleasure to meet." - An Anonymous Canadian Citizen
  4. I'm not sure if this car is still for sale or not. I've had 5k cash sitting inside a shoe in my closet for a few months now wondering what to do with it. I have been looking to get a quest and thought about yours until I read this You will also need a minimum of 1000 posts on here to qualify to buy this car . Not going to any noobz . Guess i'll keep looking. GLWS.
  5. Ono, Are you in the Corp? Either way if you were to hang out near any recruiting station across the US over the past 20 plus years you'd have a pretty good idea how the Corp gets most of their recruits. It's the become a man, be tough, crawl through dirt, go where no regular person would dare. Climb the highest mountains. I could go on but I won't. It's been a very productive recruiting angle for years so that's why i listed it under my thoughts on the Corps. If you ask 150k married people with kids (or more if you have the time, I certainly don't), very few will tell you they regreted having kids. Even though it's a FACT that almost all of them have regretted having kids at one point or another. The fact is no person with low self esteem would tell me he wants to join the Corp to become a man. He would tell me something like you wrote, training, discipline yada, yada, yada. Why someone joins doesn't really matter. In the long run; what they gained in knowledge and experience does. The fact that Skullz feels the way you do, prove's how effective the Corp campaign is. It's only my opinion that Skullz already feels like he's a man, or he'd be considering the Corp and not the navy, as the Corp last i checked had IT/computer jobs. It's a fact that the Marine Corps produces the best trained, most disciplined and most respected troops out there. I don't know but I think I heard of a very important mission that happended in May, where another branch of service was used. Skullz, if you want IT/computer stuff, then you need to stick to your guns. Nuclear sounds great and it appears the lady has you leaning that way already.. Some of them can be pretty good talkers. Like i said before, i commend anyone looking to join the service. Gold wings earned 19 March 1994.
  6. Times have changed over the years. If you haven't checked, do yourself a favor and contact all 4 branches of the service. Get a copy of the contract for each. Unless you have emotional reasons for joining the Navy check em all out. If you don't feel like a man yet; join the Marine Corp If you like spending 6 months out in the middle of the ocean sharing a bunk with another troop, join the Navy. By the way the Army and Navy are the only two services where if available and you qualify you can guarantee your job. The other two you are guaranteed a job field, fields may have 6-8 specialties in them. Air Force - good jobs poor promotion rate. But dang the chow hall food is good, and probably the best barracks. Army, fastest promotion rates (more cash), over 220 jobs to choose from (to include linen specialist and space Command), has more aircraft than the Air Force, more boats than the Navy and more grunts than the Marine Corps. Either way i commend you for considering serving your country. Peace...

  9. I'm by far from an expert, but just from viewing some of the other cars for sale you should be able to get a rough idea on pricing. There are several close in condition to yours but with more mods. But yeah IMO your price is a bit high.
  10. Sound like I should be fine then. Nice tip ucw459 on the 83 yr seats. Thanks for all the input folks.
  11. Hi, folks. My first exposure with a Starquest happened 20 yrs ago (course I was only a passenger stuffed in the back with two others while the driver was doing a wee bit over the speed limit). At any rate I always thought one day i'd own one. I almost had one a few years back but the seller flaked out on me before I could meet him and test drive one. Here we are present day, I've still yet to sit in a drivers seat as i've not seen one in person for probably 15yrs. My question is this; I'm 6' 225lbs, how much room and would I be somewhat comfortable driving one of these machines? The seats look pretty small in the photos i've been looking at here in the forums. I'm near Hopkinsville, Ky if anyone is somewhat close by i'd love to check out your ride before I get to involved with looking for a starquest to buy. Thanks. KG
