Thanks for all the offers of help guys. I will certainly be taking advantage of those offers. Right now my main focus is getting the talon done. She is so close. For the mean time, I may just replace the rim, the windshield, injector connectors, fuel filter, etc and drive the starion as is for now since it's a running car and I won't have the money to do another build, especially a swap for a while. This whole deal may take a couple years until the end result but we will see how it goes.

One of my rear rims is bent and won't hold air longer than 2 days or so. I am in need of a replacement. If you have a set of Rear 9's you are willing to cut me a good deal on I would be interested in buying those instead of one 8. Let me know. -Ryan

Actually runs just fine. Starts up, idles nice, drove it onto the trailer, drove it off the trailer and up into my garage.

Looks like I got one afterall! Well, I picked this up over the weekend from another member on here. Good guy and a pleasure to do business with. . With my 1Ga close to being done (ha ha as if these things are ever done), and my desire for a RWD car, I have embarked on this long journey. Well, don't I feel salty...just made the reservation for the trailer to pick up the conquest and 5 minutes later I got a text from the guy stating he couldn't sell the car, he decided to keep it. That sucks. Especially since I drove 3hrs to go look at the thing. Ohh well. Looks like my dreams of putting together a 4g63 conquest are on hold until I can come across another good deal...if that ever happens.

Talked to the guy today. Going to pick it up on Saturday. Looks like I have my work cut out for me finding a 4g64 wide block.

Thanks for the info. I have also joined projectzerog.com I have a 2g head right now so I will just be in need of a shortblock. So you are saying the mighty maxes had 4g64 in them? My buddy back home has a hyundai 2.4 block and 1G head going in his eclipse. How hard are these mighty max blocks so come by? I guess my biggest concern is motor mounts and making sure everything fits PROPERLY. Would I have to get mounts custom made if I were to use a 4g64 block from a mighty max?

Hello everyone. My name is Ryan and my wife Amanda and I just moved to Texas from Columbus, OH. I currently have a Silver/Grey 1991 TSi AWD, pics below. Also below are pics of my old 1990 TSi AWD that was totaled back in Sept when a lady ran a red light at 55mph and t-boned me. The 1991 I own now has KYB GR-2's with suspension technique springs, meghan racing strut bars, apex n1 turbo back exhaust, bottom end newly rebuilt with ross 8.3:1 ceramic coated pistons, eagle rods, acl bearings, ARP main studs, ARP head studs, with a 2G 7 bolt head rocking HKS 272 cams, evo springs and retainers, SS valves (1mm oversized exhaust) evo 3 intake manifold fed by an FP3065. Thats just to name a few of the mods. I had 3 weeks to take it from pretty much a shell to putting it back together and get it running well enough to driver onto the trailer for the move to TX so I still have some little things I need to work out and then tuning begins. Goal is 425awhp on 93oct. Anyway, I am considering buying this 1986 conquest a few hours from me. I went to look at it the other day and it needs cleaned up but overall rather impressive to me for being as old as it is. No compression in cylinder 3 so instead of rebuilding the motor, I will most likely do a 4g63T swap since I have about 6 years of experience with the 4g63 platform. I have been doing a lot of reading over the last few days on these cars and it seems people have put about every motor imagineable in these things but the 4g63 seems to be the most popular. If I do buy this car, I will have tons of questions about how to swap properly. I will do my best to search for the answer before starting a new thread but please forgive me if I miss something as I will be a noob to these things. Anwyay, Thanks for having me.
