Thanks Rusty, I completely forgot about the lower compression to allow for boost.

So is anyone positively sure if the internals of the turbo and the N/A engine the same or not? Because I personally don't see why they would have two different assembly lines to make the same part for an engine.

Yeah it was an early '90s GS I read the build tag in the engine bay and it said 4g63. But would it be worth it for $100?

I ran into an Eclipse at a salvage yard today and realized that it had a 4G63 engine. I didn't have any tools to see if the crank would turn but checked the oil and it looked like it had just been changed and no coolant or metal flakes were in it. The only reason I think the car was in there was because the right side had been hit, I could get the whole complete engine for about $100 Opinions on it? Also it wasn't turbo'd so could you run a turbo on it and be safe still?

Also with all the talk of the engine, no pics of it?

Interesting reads on all the opinions guys. But thanks for the advice good or bad, but like I said, if I'm going to do this I have to find a car and start a fund to proceed with it.

Since it doesn't seem that anyone's done a SRT swap, has anyone attempted an evo swap?

I am still trying to get my first Starion/Conquest, but was really wondering if anyone has attempted to modify one to work with a SRT-4 engine. Any advice or expertise good or bad is ok also. The first time I found out about the Starion/Conquest and realized that it was a 4 cylinder RWD I was hooked. I just read in a later post that it says not to ask questions here, but it won't allow me to post in other sections until I have so many posts. Sorry if it went against the rules it can be removed if needed

The "ones" so you have had multiple Dart's!? What years were they?

Man I just sold my Ramcharger 7 months ago, My parents didn't trust it getting 2,500 miles across the U.S. so I bought a newer truck. I have the guys # so when I get back home I'm going to call him up.

That's pretty sweet I have always liked the Chargers, I just found one that's almost the miniature of one.

How cheap could I get a running one for? And what type of condition would I be looking at?
