This sucks!

I had my gallbladder removed yesterday and I am so sore I can hardly move. The doctor said the gallstone was the size of a GOLFBALL!

I can't decide whether my shoulder or stomach area hurts the worst. I think they tore my arm off an beat me with it! I wonder if they grabbed me wrong when they were moving me from the operating table to the gurney or vice-versa?

What sucks is that it is sunny and 65 degrees outside. I have a running Starquest I want to go drive and one that I need to work on. I can't do either! I need to finish getting my white 89 SQ ready to go back up for sale.

This sucks!

Thanks Randy.

I have 2 different strengths of Lortab (hydrocodone+tylenol combined basically) and Toradol for pain. I am off work until March 7th. I plan on getting out to do some things way before then.

I am hoping to do the engine swap nex weekend before I go back to work. I need to get that car back on the market.

I will be getting with you soon about some parts when I start building the engine for my flatty.

Chris,

I'm with you on the pain. We could have a recovery meet, but neither one of us can drive that far. I think all our fellow questers should send food and drink to both of us

Hang it there and stay on the meds for the first few days. Once the pain gets ahead, it is hard to catch back up. Oh, and make sure you eat before taking the meds and drink plenty of water.

Thanks Jimmy.

I have not been on here much lately. I just saw where you had your surgey. Still doing OK?

I like the idea of the food/drink offerings! :D

I have been pretty fortunate on the eating before meds situation. My wife has been making me food when it's time. I have found that I make a lot of typo's on drugs wheeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spend as much time correcting what I typed as I did typing it!

Get better soon Jimmy!

what the heck does the gallbladder do anyways? :?

What is the gallbladder?

The gallbladder is a structure on the underside of the liver on the right side of the abdomen. The function of the gallbladder is to store bile that is produced in the liver before the bile is secreted into the intestines. Bile secreted into the intestines helps the body digest fats.

What are gallstones?

Bile is composed of three major components: cholesterol, bile salts, and bilirubin. When the gallbladder is not functioning properly, the components of the bile become out of balance leading to the formation of solid crystals. The majority of stones (80%) are composed of cholesterol, the remainder are pigmented stones consisting of bilirubin. Stones can be large or small, single or multiple. These factors do not necessarily predict the frequency of symptoms or the severity of the disease. In many cases gallbladder symptoms are caused by the dysfunctional gallbladder that is forming stones rather than the stones themselves. The exception to this is when stones block off the cystic or common bile duct.

I found out that women have more gallbladder problems than men...unless you have American Indian ancestors. My great Grandmother was 100% Cherokee Indian. Everyone in my father's side of the family have had gallbaldder problems.

hey your shoulder hurts because of referred pain.... your gallbladder hurts, and it is referred to your shoulder area.

Usually thats the case, but I tore a rotator cuff in my opposite (left) shoulder last year and something aggravated it. The referred pain I am having is under my shoulder blade on my right side and in the ribs on the right. The rotator pain is on my left. I am just all messed up!

that sucks man. hang out and drink some beer with those pain meds. it will make things better lol. actually, i don't think it's good to drink beer with tylenol. just up your dosage on the booze and less on the meds. don't fall down on the way to the bathroom.

whoa man, didnt know you was even laid up chris. glad to hear you are doing better tho.

DITTO!

You helped Ken get a Mercedes?

Yep.

He didn't just get A car, he got THE car.

He is the proud owner of a 2006 Mercedes Benz E55. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what that car is, let me just say...you have no idea.

To sum it up:

469hp/516tq--what else matters?

Here is what he got, but his is silver and has more bells and whistles. His was over $90k when new. I will let him tell you guys all the specifics. It's his baby. He still sucks though...for buying MY dream car! :D

Thanks for the props Chris, but I don't want to hi-jack your thread. The car is truly awesome, though. 8)

Get some rest this week! You've earned some down-time, even if it is to recouperate from surgery.
