  1. It is down ATM due to it being cleaned up .Hang in there it will be up and running soon
  2. Just back from a road test and the car turns in faster and feels more stable in turns at legal speeds so hope it transfers to higher speeds at the track next Thursday week. There is a young fellow in a Mazda 3 MPS that has an expensive PROFLEX suspension and want to give him a hurry up and if i manage to catch him I would be rapt.
  3. Just got the JB back and the front to rear balance is npw 51/49% was 54/46% Will be going for a drive today to see if I can feel any difference before I do a Time Attack day in 10 days time.
  4. The car has been at the suspension specialist to get the rear coilovers done so there will be CO's all round as well as corner weighting, heavier springs and an alignment ending up with 3deg neg and 6 deg caster and 1mm toe. hopefully this will result in less front end push out of corners without making the back end too loose. Have a Time Attack track day on 12/2/15 so I guess that I will find out soon enough.
  5. http://forums.austar...pic.php?t=13410 Pic is a couple of years ago at the Oakey street sprints Have a different air dam with splitter and ducts to yhe front discs fir better cooling.
  6. If there is anyone out trhere who has one willing to ship to Australia ?. Just want/need the gears plus the lsd if possible.
  7. I was on here as AUSSIE OLDIE but there were problems with logging on due in part to changeing out internet supplier so after lurking for a quite a while decided to try again and managed to sign in under my new tag name. I have had my JB Starion since 92 and have improved?? it as funds allowed and it now has a 2323cc twin cam with a 3582 turbo and 387 hp the wheels on pump gas via a RX7 gearbox and a 3.9 LSD..I use the car for track days and street sprints legal ones that are run on closed roads. I have Evo 4 front discs clamped by 300ZX 4 pot calipers and a Willwood bias adjuster. I have a race seat and 4 point harness and have a HANS device and a Bell helmet Tyres are Federal 595RSR's due to lack of $$ as am a pensioner with limited income. Would love to change my diff ratio to a 4.2 so if there is someome that can supply one to fit my big diff I would be over the moon.
  8. I understand that but soda blasting also leaves a steel surface with a anti rust protection and can strip single layers of paint off if needed.
  9. IMO Soda blasting is a better method as it does not mark the surface like sandblasting.
  10. Agree with you but DO NOT leave it in gear. I put the straps thru the mag wheels with a square of soft carpet under the straps to help protect the wheels finish. I have front wheel stops bolted in place so that I can load my car by myself and not have the front splitter hit anything.
  11. And it sounds angry when I have the hammer down.
  12. Have not posted for a while and am seeking info re a Moroso oil pan fitting on a 6 bolt 4G63 in my Starion as have had oil surge light flash at the track and don't want to damage my 2323cc TC stroker that has 387 HP @ the tires. Any 1st hand info appreciated. Have RX7 box installed and if any info re the swap an happy to help. Cheers from Down Under
