Do you have a shift boot that is more sad than leather?  I want to buy it from you!  I don't want one in good condition - I intend to rip the threads of it's existence and splay it out for the world to see all of it like never intended before!

Seriously - I want to get my hands on a shift boot to get it recreated, but need proper dimensions for the cuts so I would prefer one that is in rough shape rather than tearing apart a good one.

I sent one like this to someone here for this reason, but never got it back... I have another in pretty good condition, but not willing to get let down again. Hope someone will and I’ll be in on a purchase

Well, I was gently reminded that I was looking to 3D print the retention ring for these so I'm talking to a local who can get me a proper 3D scan and do some repairs as the one I have is in rough shape.  The boot wasn't the correct one, so the person who had it stapled the boot to the ring.  A lot of staples.  It took me a solid 45 minutes to peel all of those out as I was afraid of snapping the ring.  So I'll get a cleaned up new model of that here sometime soon.

So I figure if I'm going to get rings made, I might as well get boots too and get something nice for my car while I'm at it.  I don't want to damage a good boot, which is why I'm looking for a worn one specifically.  I'm willing to spend cash and/or replace it with one of the ones I manage to recreate.

i dont have any leather ones ,,but U can make that retangular ring in your garage out of wire.........i may have a wire and the stick shift suround for test fits....

Yup.  I posted pics to your FB posting also
