  2. i was also looking into some alternative such as that
  3. It's true I didn't mention that, but yes be warned that it will make everything louder
  4. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a298/starquest/22.jpg these seats are so much lighter than the stock ones and there are other options that I'm sure are lighter and maybe cheaper
  5. buy lighter seats, remove abs, remove air conditioning... etc
  6. I completely agree that the road noise and exhaust sound is much louder after you do this so be warned... it doesn't bother me though. I actually like being able to hear the exhaust louder inside the car.
  7. don't ask why... I still can't answer that... weight reduction? based off the section I weighed on the scale in a plastic bag I would say the total amount of tar would be roughly 45 - 60 lbs if it were all lumped up in a ball. It's really easy to get off once it's HOT. Luckily I live in AZ so it only took a few hours in the driveway with the doors/windows shut to reach optimal scraping temp. If you live somewhere cold maybe hit it with a heat gun or something but the whole section needs to be hot... but not too hot otherwise it will be all melty and you don't want that... just hot enough so it softens the tar. I got a scraper and got under one corner and rolled it like a burrito the whole section right off. Took about 2 hours for the whole car LOL.. I know I'm crazy http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a298/starquest/4-2.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a298/starquest/3-3.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a298/starquest/2-3.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a298/starquest/1-3.jpg
