Price drop, $10,800 obo

Guys, I know I'll regret it (car wise) but I'm going back to school and need to free up some cash. Looking for a solid offer or trades. Will take partial trades + cash or out right even trades. I don't want to trade for another starquest, I'm probably going to sell my 540 as well and will need a daily driver. I just drove the car to PF '08 and averaged over 30mpg w/ the 488whp tune (550 miles round trip). Car runs 24psi daily on 93 octane. Can run 32psi on C16 and race gas tune. Everything was done right, only issue I've had was throttle bodies, once my hard headed self got away from trying the same brand over and over she's been solid ever since! I did have a custom alternator bracket break while in Pigeon Forge, but we all looked it over and saw it was a defect in the design. Couth'nize couth'nized me a new one and its been great! I've got about 8K miles on the swap, car just hit 140K miles. Body is as straight as they come! Just needs the drivers side seat redone to be a mint car. Car has removed A/C, removed cruise control, heat works, all gauges in instrument cluster work except coolant (I have an electric Stewart Warner for the coolant) Car starts just like it would if it was a 2.6 installed. The only thing on the car thats got a manual switch is the cooling fans. They could easily be on a thermo switch, I just like having control over them personally.

I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting, I've had a 6 year history with this car. The longest I've ever kept any car has been 2 years to give you an idea of how much it has meant to me! Most my passes are on you tube that I've done in this car since the swap. Total times down the track is less than 20.

Plenty more pictures for those interested. I've probably got over 1K, these are just ones currently uploaded that I could find. There is a video of the car running under the hood & and back of car, idle is sick! Any interested party please email me: 1Bad68@gmail.com

And guys I'm not going anywhere if the car does sell....as everyone else always says, I will have another one day! I'll still be at meets, just got to finish up and need to move on for the time being.

As far as price, I've got over $31k tallied up that I've spent on the car, idealy I'd like to get half of that but I'm taking offers over $12k, if I can't atleast recoop that I'll store the car until I have the time to play with it again one day. If I'm taking a trade I'd ideally want it to book for at least $14K and be an easy seller.

I'm not going broke and looking to dump the car....I'm just trying to simplify life, have one car for the time being and free up some cash if possible to make things easier. I'm not trying to give it away IE $6K (I'd think it would sell in stock form for $5K considering its condition) but IMO for less than 1/2 of what I've invested (not including the hours and hours of labor!!) you have a turn key daily driver with race car power and a great body, its a win win win. I know I'll miss it greatly if the day comes...

For what its worth, the 7.6's it has ran was on the old throttle body that leaked and wouldn't let me rev past 6-6200 rpms. I think the car in cold weather and with the new throttle body tuned will run 7.30-7.40's. Also I weigh 260 so that needs to go in affect as well. I feel confident it will break 6's on race gas and higher boost. I work too much to spend the time to make it happen. The car was down over 2 years for the swap and I ended up paying JonBoy to finish it up for me, I knew I'd never get it completed otherwise.
