Well here we go, I never thought I would do this. First of all, I love this car. I bought it in September 2007 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. I am originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The Conquest and I currently reside in Wilmington, North Carolina. Anyways, I bought it with 92k miles on it. It has around 98k to 99k miles on it now. Got the automatic transmission completely rebuilt before I registered it at 92k miles. Shortly after that I realized the Mitsubishi TD05-12A was junk, so I bought a brand new SlowBoy Racing 16G EVO-III and put that on not even 100miles after the transmission was rebuilt. Did a complete tune up and put in new valve stem seals around 93k miles. After that it never smoked. :P Garaged kept it all winters.

I moved to NC in April 2009, moved it down on a full auto transport. Then once I moved here it was my daily driver for about 5 months while my Jeep was down. I never had any major mechanical issues with my car when I was driving it everyday. I even auto crossed it and it did really good! :) Except the power windows. I've bought regulators, switches, and a new relay but that still has not worked. Though possibly the relay was junk to begin with either way, last time the car ran they did not work. My Conquest was never my primary source of transportation unless my Jeep was under the knife.

My boyfriend and I pulled the G54B out of it about 2 months ago because I scored an old 89 Mitsubishi Van with a 6 bolt 4G64 in it, and we also got our hands on a freshly ported 4G63 6 bolt head. My plans were to do the DOHC 4G64 swap into my car because it would be so much faster, easier to work on, parts would be easier to come by, plus I wanted to turn the boost up on that 16G! But I know the G54B couldn't handle it. I STILL have the engine and it is COMPLETE. Well, between the time we pulled the motor out and before I got the 4G64 block & crank sent out to get tanked and checked I landed a great job and have lost interest in my Conquest :(

I've moved on and now Im buying an Evolution instead. I really DONT want to get rid of this car. I've been through so much with it, but it just sits now and I would like for someone else to enjoy the car like I did. So anyways thats my story. I have so many parts, documents, and ALL of my receipts since I bought the car.

If you are interested or want to know anything else, dont hesitate to ask;

pulling the motor out *exciting*

I get to finally see the lovely blue torque converter after 2years! and a good shot of the 16G

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_03.png

right after we pulled the motor out, it had some serious front wheel gap after that

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_04.png

I spent 2 hours scrubbing the ENTIRE ENGINE BAY DOWN, I repeat ENTIRE ENGINE BAY IS SPOTLESS!

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_05.png

where it sits now, I put eh electrical tape on the headlights as a joke when I autocrossed it

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_06.png

front end, being all angry. I had to take out the re-bar to run the new intercooler and re route the hardpipes

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_07.png

sitting pretty

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_08.png

the wrap around wing on this side, the paint peeled off of it as you can see in the corner

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_09.png

back end, hatin on some nissans, hanging from my tow-hook (hah :P)

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_10.png

nothing out of the ordinary on this side, all tires are in really good condition with about 50% tread left

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_11.png

drivers side rear, the only spot of rust on the car, the car was repainted prior me buying it, looks like they didnt hit this spot very well. There is no hole. I would catch it as soon as possible though to prevent it from spreading. Of course ;)

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_12.png

drivers side front. I put all new drilled/slotted gold zinc coated rotors all around at about 97k miles and pads in the back, front pads have about 75% left on them.

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_13.png

drivers side front again. I have the other piece inside of the car. this happened on a dark one lane road on night in PA when I was passing a limo and hit a branch that fell onto the road, it ripped that corner off and put a dent right there infront of the tire.

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_14.png

passenger front side, the dent in the fender by the pop up was there when I bought the car. (In altoona the conquest was sitting on the lot with a BRA on it, took the bra off and found this.) By far the biggest scratch on the car is right here on the corner. This whole corner right here has the most flaws out of the whole body.

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_15.png

passenger front, nothing going on here. 225 Continentals in the front

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Conquest_16.png

passenger rear, everything looks good. 235 Kelly Chargers in the rear

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/autoxquest.png

and here is me in my Conquest Auto Crossing at an SCCA event in Wilmington last summer

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/autoxquest2.png

me again auto crossing her. I took the bumper off too show off the shiny plumbing! haha ;)

http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae187/jillkocsis/Mits_Van_01.png

and here is the 1989 Mitsubishi Van. This thing is pretty crazy. The engine is out of it of course, If you read the above paragraphs. If you are interested in the block and crank out of this or if your interested in the van as well (RWD setup!) Let me know!

Thanks so much guys. I did not bother putting my car on Ebay or Craigslist. I want her to go to someone who will respect the car.

**Let me add in here, make your offer. I dont have interior pictures, but I can take them tomorrow afternoon. The interior is in good to great shape, all pieces are there, there is cracks in the plastic center console, but everything is there. Wheels are in great shape, I also put new injectors in it around 97k miles and have 3 more extra sets (not sure what all the sizes are). The title is clean. I'll think of more info to add and post it up. Thanks again!

Brian from LowerShores called me about this car last week and spoke very highly of how clean it is. GLWS If I hear of anyone around this area looking, I'll send them your way. You might wanna post a price obo per forum rules. Good luck,

yeah Brian and I talked about this already, he said he would definitively take the car but he has no more room and too many projects going on right now. hah, oh well.

I would like to get $1500, car & motor together. The motor is in the shed on a tire and I did not touch if after we pulled it out. Nothing crunched or broke. Everything is here. The paint is in excellent shape, it could use a nice wax job after sitting for a couple months though. The clear is not peeling anywhere, and boy does it SHINE in the sun! I will consider best offer. I am moving to Raleigh soon and Colorado in the future. I have 3 cars right now, I just cant keep all of them. Like I said before, I would never be selling this if I could store it somewhere.

that van have a 2.6 in it?? price if so??

that thing is ganster!!!

Haha, no the van has a 2.4L, the 6bolt 4G64 non turbo. It is pretty unquie! and its RWD. We pulled the 4G64 out of it though. Transmission is still in it, along with everrrything else and it is automatic, same trans as the starquests. The van has alot of interchangable parts with the starquests. The rear end is probably the same too I would guess. Im asking $400 for the van obo. Not including the motor.

Also in NC...do you have frame pics? Also does the AC work and am I correct in understanding there is no motor in the car now? Thanks, Jim

I dont, but I may be able to take them. Yeah the motor is not in it, and the A/C has been taken out, but I have all of the parts for the A/C in a separate box.

Just stumbled on this thread.

I now own this very car! It's back in PA Jill, in almost the same exact shape as it was in here!

BTW, Thanks for keeping all of your receipts, I'll start a thread about it's salvation from the scrapyard when I get started!

  • 2 weeks later...

Ron Burgandy bought it from her, with intentions for a 5spd swap. It sat for about 2 years. His job is requiring him to go to Puerto Rico and he told me, his wife fiancee said it was going to scrap if he didn't sell it.

So now, I'm saving her! :)

Hey, just dug this back up! I sent you a nice PM natallica, but ah wow I'm still shook up over this! How crazy things turn out. I'm glad you got the receipts and they were kept with the car! I sold it to a guy in Greenville, NC or Goldsboro, NC..I can't remember exactly, but that was the last connection I had with him. Man I could never let it go to a yard! Though that was one of my fears letting it go in the condition it was in. But I'd love to hear how it ended up back in PA! :)

Thanks Jill, I had to do some CSI type stuff to figure this all out, but I figured I'd drop you a line and let you know where she is residing again.

Also, I started a build thread ...but it's slow moving, got an SHP for the wife so I'm getting that one done first. Feel free to parooze and chime in whenever you'd like!

Thanks for acknowledging, and I hope to have her back sideways someday soon.
