mrvwbug
I think my clutch is going. It's starting to spin in forth gear but just on and off only on the highway at high speeds. It does not do it in any other gear. I thought also about turbo lag. I was thinking about doing the maintenance on the rear differential and change the gearbox oil as well. This is not my area of expertise in diagnosing. I read when your clutch start to go it starts in the highest gears first? Does anyone have any other ideas or thoughts? Please let me know. vbrad511
When the disc starts to wear, or the pressure plate starts to get weak you'll notice it in the higher gears first. If you notice it in fifth now, you may soon notice it in fourth as things get weaker.
